Why L12 mines is a bad idea for loot.

Okay.

Everyone whose IGN begins with a consonant will upgrade their mines during the first week.
Everyone whose IGN begins with a vowel will upgrade during the second week.
Everyone whose IGN begins with numbers or special characters will upgrade during the third week.

Y's will be considered vowels for this exercise.
Emojis will fall under the special characters category.

Wouldn't that be true about upgrading defenses too? If you upgrade defense your base becomes weak. If you dont, your base is anyway weak. See the point Mr ?

Everyone won't upgrade them all at once anyways. In all likelyhood their builders are tied up and plus,at TH9 there's 12 collectors? Worst case scenario 7/12 are functional. Also remember, the players who would upgrade all the collectors immediately are likely active and don't get raided from their mines very often anyways. I see what you mean in that loot will be bad for a few days after the update (if level 12 mines were to be implemented), but loot is usually terrible after an update anyways, and it would fix the loot problem for the long run.

You're right.

Also, people should not invest time in an education to get a well paying job after some years, but rather just start an unlearned job at the age of 15 and do it for the rest of their lifes. This way they have more money.

Well, at least in the first couple of years.

That's assuming EVERYONE upgrades their mines at the same time which I very much doubt would happen for the following reasons:

- Not maxed current mines
- Builders are busy working
- Decide to wait
- Cant afford to do it
- Prioritise other upgrades first

I say you would hardly even notice a negative impact.

That's why we need the long-asked for collector achievement, That in combination with an additional level or two does put some extra loot in the system.

SC should especially like the achievement. Steve explicitly said they're looking for ways to add more loot without adding collector levels or bonusses. Well.. there you have it. I'm not sure why I say this though, we all know it, they just won't do it. Best to leave it at that.

I think that is a great idea.

If there was an achievement for upgrading mines/collectors, the loot would definately go up. For one thing, thr motivation to upgrade means that more loot would be added to the game. I think the achievements should be getting all (or maybe 1...) to lvl 5, 8, then maxed. Gold mines and elixir collectors would have their own achievements. Thoughts?

Think it would be better to increase mine and collector production with a suitable percentage as this would also have a bigger impact to higher level buildings giving more motivation to upgrademines and collectors.
