Farming for elixir as a TH10 (not gold or DE)

Hi all, so I am determined to finish all of my elixir upgrades, which are; 2 more army camps, 5 troop upgrades & 2 spells. This all costs a reasonable amount of elixir.

I've been using Barch with a couple of WBs at Gold II as the 60,000 elixir cost and 20ish minute cook time appealed to me. The problem I'm finding is that Barch is too weak to penetrate a decent TH9/10, although sometimes I get lucky and they have their elixir storage's near the outside of their base which can be picked off with some archers, but this seems rare to me.
And, as does everybody at some stage, I'll stumble into an abandoned base which has full collectors. But I wouldn't consider it a viable strategy to only raid these folks that have quit as it's a fluke to find these kinds of bases.

I was considering jumping up to Crystal II/III and using Balloonian, even though the 90,000 elixir for 20 Balloons seems counter productive for my goal, perhaps it can be made up by the fact that elixir is in abundance at that trophy range and I would come out ahead at the end of the day...?

So yeah, if anybody could help a brother out and provide a good elixir farming strategy (preferably not mass hogs) then I'd greatly appreciate it!

BAM is a really good way to be stingy on Elixir and lets you raid back to back fast. I used that for a while at TH9 to mow through my early elixir upgrades.

As you already pointed out many expose elixir storages, BAM can usually crack a few open.

If your struggling mix it up thats all you can do and if it works then great but not then you haven't lost anything (watch out for those dancers)

Farm for Elixir and Gold? Use Hogs/BAM.

Farm for DE? Use balloonion/BAM.

BAM are for crystal/gold I, while the other 2 are for masters/crystal I

I use barb, archer, minion, goblin. I will get 50% most of the time on a TH 8/9 it is a little more expensive and takes a little more time than BAM but i a comfortable with it.

When I want elxier i just swap to hogs for a day or two. I find in about a day and a half I will be at 8m

Go up to Crystal 1 Master 3 you will catch the guys starting there trophy push with max storrages....... and you can use barb/bow all the way to champion so it should work fine there.

I'm not too familiar with using Hogs although I do see a few replays that my clan mates put up, seems that 4/5 healing spells is a must with this combination? Is it possible to beat a decent TH9 base without using spells? I'm assuming you follow up with a handful of goblins and archers as the clean up crew towards the end

20 hogs, 4 healers, rest arch some gobs for luring heroes cuts down on spells.

You need 1-2 heal spells, if your main aim is to get all the Elixir, save 1 for lightning, and 1 heal spell for emergency. Heck, I can 100% a mid-th9 with 2 heal spells. As long as you clear out CC troops and heroes, you're good to go. But yes, spell is a must.
