I missed the first day or so of the event. I have 158 lbs in, and fishing as fast as I can... I'll pay full price or trade, let's negotiate!

I don't think buying fish contributes to your score, sad to say. If that were true, two farmers could buy back and forth and be done with the challenge in minutes.
Of course. How silly of me! Thanks for being so nice about it...
Don't feel bad :o I had 8 nets in the water when the event started. Had to wait for them to finish so I missed a day as well. Lately I'm not into fishing so I have been setting the nets. Since I'm rarely going to the fishing area, the nets in the water don't feel like they take that long. Still, would have loved to have had the pond free...lol
I know there isn't much time left, but assuming you can get one more fish out of every pool, you can get at least 80 more pounds of fish before the event is up, but that's if you have 8 green lures. Just keep throwing the lure back in until you get the second smallest circle (the smallest being the fish doesn't even really fit in it, while the second smallest it just fits). This way you'll pick out zanders or carps every time, and these are minimum 10lbs fish (from what I've seen anywho). The smallest circle are rudds, they're like 3-4lbs.
I haven't tested the other colours since I'm still saving them for pets, but I'm guessing you'd get similar results.
Might take quite a few tries to get that specific size circle though.

We discourage starting new trade/purchase threads or posting for trades/purchase on other threads, and you'll have the best luck on these specific ones anyway. In the event while reading the forum, you should see someone on another thread that you wish to make an offer to or request of, you can send them a Private Message through their forum profile.
Should your need be time sensitive as it’s to fill a boat, there is also this boat help thread, which is of great value when working on the achievements:

While I realize that this request was for an event and wouldn't work for this particular one, any future posts for trade or requests for emergency items to purchase for any reason should be placed on these threads, where you'll also find much greater success. Thank you
I enjoyed the fishing in the beginning but it's sort of lost it's appeal. I am not concerned with the time it takes versus the lures because I can't tell you how many times the pond has sat for days without being fished. Now at least once a day I go in and throw down a few nets. I've increased my tackle box to hold 65 items and I have it as equally divided between various lures, the nets and the lobster traps as I can get. This way I can do whatever I feel like doing. Sometimes I put down 6 traps and 2 nets, usually over night so I can get my lobsters, but then the nets go in and I come back the next day. I never seem to play the same all the time. Right now, for instance, I'm not producing any product but dairy, sugar, candy and jams for a while. When I get a hundred of each I'll fill boats for sugar and dairy. I like to shake it up a little lol.
I was content fishing with worms. Why burn vouchers when all the fish give the same number of filets?
But I used vouchers to catch the special fish, and had way too much fun doing it. Now I want to complete my book. So many fish, so few vouchers. Supercell is diabolical! ;)
