Help thy neighbor

I helped ALOT of neighbors hunting through my neighbor bar looking for those needing help then BUYING the stuff to help them to get the gift cards and FINALLY get enough to turn them in for my very first prize and all I got was 168 gold coins!!!!! Seriously? yeah, that really makes me want to keep helping..... NOT I am very disapointed and probably won't be doing that anymore.

Discontent with gift cards isn't new. I do think something has changed, although I've been told it hasn't. I previously received 5 gift cards any time I helped anyone 5 times. So, I relate with the original poster here.

Lately, I've been receiving 3 gift cards when I helped 8-10 times. I've noticed that I have a better chance of getting 5 now when I help 5 different people.

I was under the impression that we only got gift cards for helping with boat orders? Idk where I got that idea.

I like to randomly check as I'm playing if my neighbors need help and lately I've noticed when I first check the ! tab, it won't show anyone. But if I go to my neighbors farm and they need help, then it will show up in the ! tab. Has anyone else noticed this? -- I know this should go into the android bugs part of the forum but I keep forgetting to head over there.

I've noticed that as well and put it down to a time lag, and the help tab refreshing a little less frequently.

You really shouldn't help if it's costing you. Just use extra products that you've produced to help out. I buy things for my neighbours now but I have so much extra coin that the cost doesn't bother me. I certainly didn't do it when I was saving up for machines etc.

I get a much better ratio than that. If I have at least 12 to 15 letters I wl have 5 gift cards

Sometimes when I go in my help tab I don't have anyone. I may have to go in it 2 or 3 times before they show up. I have enough neighbors that it's very rare that no one needs help

i like to help for the sake of helping. The gift cards are pretty useless IMHO.
I have heard some people got a BRT but I've never even seen that offered. I have enough ugly topiaries and statues to start a shop. I sure wish they would have an event where we could get something useful like XP or EMs for turning all that junk back in. Thank goodness you can store it, it would be horrible to have to look at it all.

I use together WoF and mystery packages to teach my grandchildren how useless games of chance can be. Even when you win the prize is not all that great. Unfortunately they really like the Frog Prince.."
