FIRST troop to target the TOWN HALL!! - Raging Beast /Berserker

Coc has troops which primarily target resources, defenses or walls but NO troops that primarily hunt the TOWN HALL. This new troop will be a good addition and will add a whole new strategic dimension.

RAGING BEAST/ BERSERKER
LEVEL 1
Name of Troop : Raging Beast/ Raging Berserker
Training Cost (in Elixir or DE) : 1500 Dark Elixer
Training Time: 1 hour
Housing Space: 35
Damage per second: 250 and 1.5X town hall damage
Hit Points : 300, but IF the beast survives a battle he will REMAIN in the army camp/ CC for the next battle.
Movement Speed: 20
Description: big, powerful, quick but lacks good health. Possibly a hybrid breed and will have horns. The exterior, a dark armour, emits a dark rage and remains lightweight. His claw strike is deadly.

OTHER POINTS
- A beast from the deepest darkest woods
- Primary target is the TOWN HALL
- Cannot fly
- spells do NOT work with it
- big, powerful, quick but lacks good health
- Cannot attack any other defence/ item till the TH is destroyed
- Moves directly to TH and does 1.5X damage to TH
- Linear from placement. Breaks through walls only to get to the town hall.
- DE cost is 1500
- the beast is already surrounded by a Rage with a range of 2 tiles:
a) this does not mean the beast is in Rage mode himself but
b) the beasts rage HELPS OTHER TROOPS TO ENTER RAGE MODE exactly like the rage spell

As mentioned in my description any spells are ineffective so rage and jump will not work !

Any troop that primarily attacks the town hall is OP! Even if spells don't effect it, with that amount of HP it would one star all bases. And with it's huge housing space no one would train it as it would take up a 3rd of even the top players camps! Basicly any troop that targets the town hall is either gonna be OP or if you try to balance it out, it would be useless.

anyway just spam these would work the same way i think (+ it is surrounded by a sort of rage spell)

It would just be a very good tank, who will take most damage and probably cant be killed if theres a army of ranged units behind him.

Interesting twist on the standard "targets TH" troop, but still feels a bit OP nonetheless. This and a group of WBs can probably easily reach the TH.

So i get the impression it feels a bit OP atm because of its HP. To balance that I did make it slower than a golem at 9 speed, which is rly slow, and made the beast suffer double damage from xbows arch towers and cannons - would that not work or do you think it simply needs Lower HP points ?

Also, the large housing space was so you couldn't spam these and take lots to a single battle. I knw it's a big housing space for the price of DE but to help that if you did win the battle and the beast survived he would stay in your army for the next battle. This a good idea?

ok now the stats are prety good countered but i still don't really like any troop that attacks the TH( great stats you madethough, keep going!)

one other thing, if the housing space is 80, it won't be able to fit in cc. lvl 5 cc was added with the golem to continue the trend of every troop fitting inside.

I don't think it should be able to fit in to any CC because this would be a special troop and because if the beast survives a battle he will REMAIN in the CC for the next battle. Way too OP

Exactly - considering the beasts attributes and HP this is one troop that would not fit into any CC. And this I believe would be acceptable for a new DE troop from super cells perspective.

This would not work, as said it would not fit in CC. Also this would not be used ever due to the 80 housing space, and 7k DE is far too expensive for any troop

I think it would be more Hoggish. Small, Fast, Less HP. it is going berserk, after all!

I can already imagine top players using 1-2 of these and the rest wall breakers.....

So it's a pekka wallbreaker and th attacker in one and it survives and can attack again

There's a reason that it would be the first troop to target the th.

Because it would be op, no matter how you nerf the stats.

Would be great if we could come up with a balanced concept for supercell
to consider as I don't believe a TH targeting troop has ever been ruled
out.

1) seems like the HP is too high even though it suffers double damage
from xbows arch towers and cannons- should I remove the double damage
and significantly reduce the HP ( slightly more than a hog) so the
chances of it surviving are much less but if it does then the plus side
is it remains in your army camp?


2) the 80 housing space was because I did not want a mass beast raid
going for TH. What would be a balanced housing space? If clashers would
enjoy a beast / berserker in their CC then 30 space could be ok with 8
max per attack. I think too many per attack would be OP so a high DE
cost should help? Maybe 2000-3000 DE?


3) with the HP taking a cut it should then be a more speedy beast - the
concept now changing to can it get to the TH quick and destroy it or
will it get put down quick with a good defence layout?

I total agree but it could be 35 space and then supercell could introduce and lvl 6 clan castle a month or two after the release of this thing

also make it so it doesn't target anything this found be next pekka for lvl 10 dark barracks after the Phoenix for the lvl 9 dark barracks. What would make it sweet amongst everyone then or even as 40 space and a lvl 7 clan castle just putting it out there.

In fact, one army camp can only host 60 armies each, wich means one of these wouldn't fit in any maxed army camp. Also would look ugly even if it could... Lets say you train three of them... Means one army camp will say full but no visable unit there. Improve!

But if you trained all healers they sprees them selves through all brat racks of you didn't know so if you have 3 space left in one and 2 in other and train a hog it will got to one with most space left. Even I know this it is basic knowledge of troops so plz try this and read all posts as I suggested 35 housing space.

DUH, it takes strategy to reach the TH, rather than a thing that goes straight for it. As someone said, a rage+jump would kill it in high lvl gameplay.

The beast should have the about the a little more health as golemns, like maybe 6000-8000, cost 1k dark elixir,only be 40 housing space, 200 damage, should not stay after an battle, and the part about the raging troops is way too OP!

way to over powered

2 of these+mass wall breakers+a few healers in case would get around the no spells thing. Overpowered anyway you put it

no matter how much you change it, ANY troop going for the TH is OP, and its rage mode thing and his stays after battle ended thing makes it OP also

A troop going fr TH can be balanced if designed correctly so I wouldn't dismiss it just like that and let's wait till supercell actually rule out such a troop

u could be correct on the rage and remaining alive piece but I want some more forum user feedback

Large troop that you get back is perfect for low trophy farming. I can drop a full load of these on a tiny base wipe it in 30 seconds and instantly repeat since I get the troops back. Great idea implement immediately so we can start abusing it and every low lvl TH! ;)

How has 300 HP "a lot?" look at golems.They have over 6,000 HP at Max

Siegeric- "drop a WHOLE LOAD of these" ..... Tell me then how many do expect to DROP @ 35 housing space each?! And with only 300 HP each you expect to win each time ?

Well, you have reduced the stats now, but the question is, is it worth using?

True, you could use it for TH sniping, but I think archers would be a lot faster and cheaper. I also don't see it being used in a normal army; I would rather hold some wizards instead.

à that is totally dependent on the user and his strategy. A pekka, for example, you wont find in every army camp. why? Its useful to some and not others due to its cost, time to train, speed, damage etc but it makes a very good troop to utilise if need be.

The same would apply here – it would be the first troop to target that town hall so how you strategize that is down to you. Keep in mind also that IF it does survive and you are victorious you will keep the troop for the next battle, so you can build your strategy again at a lower training time.

Yes, arch and wiz are cheaper and faster if a base is multi-layered the arch and wiz need to destroy everything item first before taking the TH and can end up getting toasted quickly along the way. But the Beast heads for the TH immediately and the AI is to Break walls down first or if the path is carved open with say wall breakers he will head to the TH first and not destroy every item.
