supercell has a well kept secret, a lot of people have quit clash of clans
if you have not seen a full clan with no active members then do this math
i attacked 10+ inactive bases today most of the other active players farm as well
why else would supercell launch a tv ad
Because they have enough money to and the more players the merrier. Simple
Today? Well reset was Sunday so i am sure that explains a lot of badge less people bud.

well there really well kept secret is that supercell is now a big corporation the are owned by softbank.
Conspiracy threads are just that, finding "inactive bases" is not a sign of anything with regard to people quitting. Truly inactive bases don't hang around all that long, so you really wouldn't be able to pick up a trend from the matchmaking system. Other things will have a far more visible effect, such as good weather, important sports event's and national holidays.
Back before SoftBank took over, there were enough abandoned bases to make the game fun. My raids were 50% abandons, and 50% where I had to crack some storages. That mix made the game fun. If its all about cracking storages, using multiple spells, and fighting through infernos on every single raid, then it becomes work and no longer a game. I downloaded this app to be ENTERTAINED. I have plenty of other difficult challenges in life. I'm pretty close to moving on here. :-/
