cheap army+ league bonus is not bad, and you dont have to search 30 thousand times to find good loot

I probably should have tried this. Just came down from masters and was only looking for 2 or 3 star wins so avoided discos as much as possible but thinking about it now the amount of absolutely ♥♥♥♥ bases in C1 that relied entirely on their towers to protect their th barching would have probably been a good option for 50% wins and better lootQuote:

There are so many people over exaggerating how good their bases are or how good they are at hog raids... My layout is doing just fine and I am only losing on the 3rd or fourth raid because all of the traps/CC troops are gone. I'm only a TH9.
I'm using the layout OJM designed in one of the TH9 project threads. Some TH9s are unhoggable, unless you are a very, very skilled attacker.
Back on topic, I am only using BAM and was doing just fine getting to storages, as well as raiding collector bases, but the last two weeks have been dry for loot.
I beg to differ, almost any TH10 with 5 spells, CC, King, and Queen can wipe any TH9 anti hog design, or at least get 3/4 of all resources.Quote:

I thought my base was good against hogs since I had almost 100% success rate defending them and like others have said the only time I lost was when it was the third attack or so and traps, CC and heroes were down.
However once I started using them I soon realized I could beat any TH9 no matter the base design. Then I went up to masters where there are actually some decent hog users not the noobs in gold and about 3 in 4 attacks I received were are 3 star loss. Admittly most of them attacked when my heros were down still they rolled through my base with ease
As a max TH9 as well, I was able to farm with balloonians at 1600-1900 range, and Arch/Gob/Wbs for collector raids.
Main targets are premmie Th9s, TH8, and TH9s with Air Defenses outside/upgrading. 2 Heals/2 Rages for support if needed. Sometimes I am still able to get decent loot, and not all the time. I can't face off against Th10s and max Th9s with 350/350/2.5k though, but sometimes premmie TH9 and some Th8 are able to provide just as much loot except the DE part.
Never use hogs due to their insane cost and I have tons of DE upgrades to do and have too much Elixir with nowhere to spend on, so Balloonians with spells are definitely OK as an alternative.
It a Th10 throws 5 healing spells, 2 heros, and a full force at a Th9 - well they probably should crush a TH9.Quote:
