Yeah I found myself in the same boat as you. Answer is simple: Don't upgrade before you max every single defensive building. If you have finished your wall, then nows the time to do some dark farming, get that king up as high as possible and get your dark tank full for when you go to Th9. Your be thankful for this advice, trust me I was 👍

dude... you're on the right track...

I'm also upgrading th8 to th9 as well with maxed skull walls and tesla lv.1, ad lv.4, archer tower and cannon lv.7 that's just TH6 stuff... way much premi-er than yours (I'm just lv.61)

I do this because my experience on TH7, I do camp for few weeks in TH7 try to max def after all my walls is maxed... until I read a nice thread about there is no reason not to be a premie.

Hell yeah, I upgrade to TH8 leaving my AD, AT and cannon at TH6 def and that's probably the best decision... it's waste of time maxing all defence on low level TH. You will have plenty of time to max on TH9 because the walls is expensive.

The only thing you should do is max your camp and main army troops... those being called premie and being fresh meat for others and can't find good loot anymore is people who don't have good farming troops. They got stuck in the game because weak guys they usually attack offer no more because of the loot penaly and they can't raid stronger guys for good loot.
