I think the OP meant that the poll's options were in addition to fixing the bug outright. Not sure though, it's of course up to the OP him/herself to clarify it.

Objection!
The reason the bug doesn't apply to shields is that SC wanted to avoid artificial extension of shield durations. I'm going to guess that when they originally programmed the game, the time bug was present in the shield as well, but they realized that it could be abused and fixed it. It's likely that they didn't feel the need to fix it for the builders, as it wasn't game-breaking like it would be for shields. That's just my two cents.
Maybe it was supposed to finish at 12:00 at midnight and you're maxxed gold, but turns out you must wait 4:00 Am instead? thats 4 hours in which you could loose gold or elixir.Quote:

This issue reminds me of the call for the TH upgrade notification/warning to players in that it is another issue that doesn't really split the community down the middle and has garnered pretty much universal support.
We are long overdue for this problem to be taken care of.
