Now onto what you have asked, in my opinion, you are doing great so far, and doing the right thing, FARMING! The problem I see first with your base is that you need to upgrade your defenses.
This will allow you to:
1. Defend your base efficiently
2. Keep your resources safe
3. Save you the hassle of upgrading them last (Last should be walls)
Also, what I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND, is that you upgrade your Barracks ASAP. I had to struggle with having to make certain troops in one barracks for a long time. It hampered my ability to attack and it became frustrating for me. I don't want to see that happen to a fellow clasher!
Next, I would build a base that has a centralized Clan Castle. This will make it difficult for an attacker to lure your troops out and destroy them with a lightning spell. I have found my old base on Clashofclansbuilder.com .

The only thing I would recommend changing on it is spread out all the storages so they aren't bunched up like the Gold Storages are.
This base worked very efficiently for me and should do the same for you!
