I tried to promote a guy to co leader but ended up demoting my self. I know this sounds funny but is there any way out of this. I want to be the leader again. (and besides how can someone become a co leader)

He has to promote you back. Co-Leader is just a title you give someone, there's no ingame feature to make someone a co-leader.

The best way is to have the clan leader re promote you or to make A new clans and everybody transfer over
Sorry to say, but your clan is done with. If that guy isn't kind enough to give the leadership back, no way to get it back.
