Hey,
the wall design is good, all i'd say is the mortars look a little too central and perhaps you might like to ug the wiz tower outside the walls....no need to protect it really whilst it's offline.
The only other thing and this might be intentional is that your TH cannot be sniped by low levels as it is protected - you might miss out on shields there.

In terms of mortar placement, yes its better.
Your TH is still protected though. If you are not trying to keep it safe in the center for trophies, then just move it outside and get a free shield.
Guaranteed if its outside someone will use 3 archers or so to take it out and you have a nice shield.
If someone has to commit 40-50 troops then you know what, they're bunging the rest in and taking far more of your precious loot.
It looks like the second layer is too exposed
