Enemies appear INSIDE my walls on replay?

I am baffled (and annoyed!) by a few of my defense losses recently. When I review the replay, the enemies troops just suddenly appear INSIDE my walls, right from the beginning. This morning, it was Giants, who do not have the ability to hop over walls (that i know of?!). No damage to my walls is seen and I don't see that the jump spell has been used under the list of "troops expended".

What the heck is going on? Do I somehow have a slim opening in my walls that I'm not seeing? Or is it some sort of bug where they are using the jump spell but it's not showing up under the list of troops they used?

Can you show a pic of ur base? I think you have an invisible hole in ur base

If you leave a 3x3 space open, troops can spawn in there. Try looking putting your buildings closer together.

Yeah, I see this happen a lot, and the attacker is able to see where the hole is, too. Just another reason to have a compact base.

Wait...even if there is no hole in my walls, if my buildings are too spread out inside the walls (more than a 3 x 3 space), enemies can spawn there?!? ::mind blown::

Wow..yep, you can guess where the enemies spawned--in that gap in the upper left hand corner. Going to go fill that right now- ty!

hey Lisa, the peeps are right you must have a space within your walls, if you move something you will see the border if there is a border inside your village then they can spawn there too.

This can be a good place to put some spring traps or surround it with defences but usually it's best to close it up.
