Is farming over?

Im th 10 and fairly closed to maxing out. My main attack is BAM and for months ive been very successful with it targeting in-actives. Over the past 2 weeks i have been in a rut that seems statistically improbable and i have not found any good attacks. I went from easily farming 8 mill in a 1 or 2 day period to being almost stagnant and sometimes going backwards. I have tried trophy ranges from 1700-2100 and started to drop 200k searching just to see if those bases were really out there anymore. At this point i fear there was a update that took in-actives out of the pictures. Does anyone notice this or am i in the most unlikely rut ever?

It's not just farming that's going to be over.... SC wants people to gem their loot, maybe if they actually played the game they would understand we are here because we care about the game because it used to be great.

I'm similar to you... Level 131 and almost maxed base - need gold for walls and DE for royals. This game's loot is in peril right now for players at our level, that's all I can say. I've been at sub 200 all the way just over 3k looking and gauging... Of course there are loaded bases in Masters, but the new emphasis on Defense (the crippling of Heal/Hog and Air attacks) has made this a fruitless endeavor. BAM and five spells to get a couple storages isn't farming... Nor is expensive Golem/Witch/Wiz attacks...

Maybe Supercell wants top players to just buy gold and DE via Gems...:(

I don't think the top players have issue with loot... go and visit the bases of the top 200 players!, the best range for loot is 3600 - 4600 if you can get there... :)

How much do they play? Not the mods, I'm talk the devs, do they grind for lvl 12 AT's at 7.5 mil a pop?

This thread is about farming... sure every base up there is 400/400 but thats meaningless from a farming perspective. Up there, you sit in your shields and attack only once or twice a day with the purpose of getting trophies, not loot. This may mean a 51 percent victory and spending 7k on DE (Witches/Golems) and using all five Spells. The Gold they might get (loot bonus and a couple storages) goes towards savings for a 3-5 million piece of wall... Not farming. Those guys are done getting useful loot through raids.

Is that the only definition of playing the game? Farming for level 12 ATs?

People need to realize that there are lots of ways to play this game. The loot system doesn't need to suit the needs of a hardcore grinding farmer who only cares about maxing his defenses and walls.

You need to realize how the game works. If you can't grow then why play? If you didnt reach max before they tweaked the system should you just resign to being sub-par to those that started before you or gemmed their way to the top? SC needs to realize if you alienate the leisure players into quitting the gem whales will have no one to pay to be better than. Personally i like playing the game and the growth is my accomplishment.
