Trophy pushing at crystal 2 : advice needed

Hey fellow Clashers,
I have an almost maxed TH9 hybrid base. I have the following troops:
Maxed barbs, archers, giants, balloons, hogs, healers
Level 5 goblins, Wizard
Level 4 wall-breakers
Level 3 dragons, pekkas, golems
Level 1 Witch, Valkyrie, Minions.
Spells: Rage (maxed), Heal,jump and lightning
Here is the problem: I have pushed to crystal 3 using giant/healer/wb technique. Then I had to use mass dragon attacks to push to crystal 2. Most of the bases I come across are all TH 10 with the fearsome infernos who tear almost any army I send. My problem is don't want to use a 500 k army of drags and spells to just 1 or 2 star bases that also do not give good return in terms of resources. I am often not able to make up for the army cost. I understand I can't farm and trophy push at the same time but at least I want to make sure that I don't loose on resources for attacking. And since I fail to 3 star any of my attack the trophy gain is also meagre 4-10.
I wanted to fall back to gold 3 and be happy with my farming life, but not before asking you guys. I believe I have fairly good army capability. What am I missing? What army compositions should I use that would be cost effective for three starring the bases at crystal 2. I don't mind if I can attack twice or thrice a day but I should be able to gain good trophies and resources. You can view my base:

Bloonions is a very successful cup hunting strategy for anywhere from 2000-3000+ cups. I recommend that if your balloons are maxed and minions are lvl 4 +. Barching is also very do-able at any cup range if you have patience. Giants - archers - wizards will work as well, heal spells work extremely well with this, a group of wizards and giants in a heal spell ring are invincible.

Thanks Sellycopter. These terms are a bit alien for me a little introduction about them or at least a link or two where I can learn about them would be great. btw I still have level 1 minions. :(
They always appeared very weak to me so never cared to upgrade them.

Barching is barbarian and archers, basically you bring a few lightning spells to take out the splash defences which are near where you want to raid and you pick 50% off the base by destroying outside buildings and a couple of inside buildings. You have to be careful with which bases you attack though.Bloonions is bloons + minions. If you don't want to try these then giants - wizards - healing spell is a very efficient strategy.

You mean from crystal 2 to Crystal 1. Rite :cool:

Loons, Hogs and Gowipe are good combos up there. Drags +spells cost too much Elix and not worth it, unless you have overflowing Elix.

Post a pic of your base? (Might Be Useful Somehow)

I reccommend using barch or ballinions!

With you current set up i wouldn't recommend Baloonion, your minions are too low.

My advice would be to work on your Barch attack, if you would like to see it in action (pushing all the way to champoions league) then have a look at Cam's video's, they are pretty good - http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT2x1vuvgYdhk-kQdlzn6yA

That said, pushing as a TH9 is hard. It is very rare that you see any past Master2 and when we do our eyes light up!

I was wondering since I have maxed Hog Riders how can I put them to good use. I have still not found any effective strategy that uses Hog Riders. I like hog rider because:
1) They attack defense first, making it safe for the troops who might follow them.
2) They can jump over walls.
3) They are fast in both movement and damage.
4) They are not very costly (just 50 DE for a maxed hog rider). So an army of 20 hog riders cost you just 1000 DE which you can recover from many bases at crystal.
Can someone advise please?

There are plenty of good hog rider tactics threads on this forum or look up some vid of annoyed ppl who got hogged
