Which should be upgraded first? Tesla to level 4 and 5 or archer tower to level 10?
Archer Tower my opinion. Teslas should be the last thing you should upgrade. Archer Towers are one of your more important defences
I ran into the same situation you are in a little bit ago, after asking many people I was always told that the archer tower was the way to go. After getting most to lvl 10 I'll tell you that they are probably better to upgrade before teslas.
I disagree, get those teslas to lvl 6 then tell me whats better. I think the tesla because is has a more rapid fire rate and will kill archers in one zap.
Lvl 6 teslas are by far the best defense at th8. I wish they had been my first upgrade.
Teslas should NOT be last
My archer towers are level 8 but my tesla are 7 :rolleyes:

also it costs a ton to upgrade, 150 to lv9 and 250 to lv10 over a short period of time. You'll need to farm diligently if you want to keep up.
teslas on the other hand take forever and has tiny range, but at least the DPS is well worth it and you'll have more window to farm it up. So I honestly don't know.

Tesla for sure they have way higher DPS archer and cannons should be last defence.
You have multiple builders for a reason. do them at the same time. They're both important for different reasons. Teslas take a very long time to max, but when they are maxed they are extremely strong. keep at least one builder dedicated to teslas until maxed. Use other builders for ATs and other things.
Same time! Not one of the other. If you don't have enough gold, then take turns, one upgrade AT, one upgrade tesla, back and forth.
It's really not that hard to farm enough gold for both at the same time though.
Lately it has been a problem of not enough builders; I have one on a WT, one for an elixir upgrade, and then one free one for Tesla OR AT. Majority of people seem to say Tesla, so I will slightly prioritize the Teslas slightly, but when I do have the builders, I'll follow your advice!Quote:

At TH8, I suggest you keep a builder or two on the teslas until they are level 5 at least, because of the long build times. It's better to max your defense before moving up to TH9, and you don't want to be in a situation where everything else is maxed, but you have to wait for the low level teslas to finish while the rest of the builders are asleep.
Also, well placed high level teslas do a ton of damage and can easily wreck a raid.

Teslas! I used to ask the same thing as you but soon realised the potential of teslas. Cheap, high dps and also serves as a smaller-ranged AD. The only down side is the long upgrade time. Other than that, a very wise investment.
