RSS being attacked!

Hi all,

I'm new here but trying to find some help/advice. I'm level 52. I helped another farm's boat a while back and now this person just attacks my RSS practically before I can ever put anything in it or create an advertisement! I wouldn't mind so much if they actually helped me in return, bc usually I only do mass RSS uploads when my boat comes in or I need plants watered. I also do one big one for my followers that I don't advertise before I quit playing for the night. But this person even buys everything up in my "follower" RSS upload before any of them even have a chance. This person is NOT one of my friends or followers. I'm assuming he/she still has access to my farm thru their "last helpers" tab. I don't have their GC name and the farm name is just "Billy". I'm soooo frustrated! Any ideas?

I don't help in the DD for that reason. If you helped them then you have to wait until you are no longer on their help tab. I have one right now that I can't find. They don't have a pic and I guess they can change thief name without it showing up any place where I can find. I may have to delete all of my neighbors who don't have a pic to get rid of them and I don't want to do that

I am having a very similar problem with my RSS. This person is just hovering it seems. The moment I put something in there it's gone. I normally wouldn't care if someone bought my whole stand, but this has been everyday I put stuff up!! Driving me nuts!!

I don't think there's anything you can do, except put up only boring stuff for several days.

She's probably following you, which means there's nothing you can do to get rid of her. If you stop putting up good stuff, she'll likely move on. Since you can only follow 5 farms at a time, RSS raiders tend to have short attention spans.

Due to the current design of the game, there is not much you can do except try to convince them that your market is not worth bothering with until enough other folks help them to push your off their Last Helper tab. If that's where they're coming from.

Some folks stop selling anything but wheat or eggs for a few days or don't sell anything at all for a while. Frustrating, but that's pretty much it.


Since the topic here is not the usual debate but simply asking for advice on how to handle the visitor, it is expected that this thread NOT turn into the usual debate. If it does, it will be closed.


EDIT: For those in this situation that may not realize: If it is a friend, you can delete them through Game Center. I'm not sure through Facebook. You can delete them there but I don't know if the connection is fully broken since they still have you on their FB. I don't know what would happen if you use FB's block feature.

If it is a follower, press and hold their avatar until the frame turns red. Then tap the + sign on the red frame to delete them.

If they are coming to you through their last helper's tab, you just have to wait until enough folks help them to push you off the list. In the meantime, you can make your RSS as boring as possible.

If they are coming to you through the leader boards, there is nothing you can do except make your RSS as boring as possible to convince them to go elsewhere.

I've never had this happen to me yet, but it is nice to know what to do if it does.

Sell everything at a maximum price, that way you make some good money off them and it may put them off if they are trying to resell it.

This seems like a good plan! If someone wants to buy the mass of eggs that I sell for fuul price, come and get'em! lol

Thanks for the advice. So far he/she hasn't been back today *keeping my fingers crossed*. But I have had to delete a new follower that doesn't seem to know the rules of RSS etiquette. Lol :p

The game was designed for an open RSS for anyone to buy as much as desired or as little as currently needed. There are no "rules of RSS etiquette" beyond whatever common courtesy individual folks wish to extend.

Any "rules" you see here on the forum, such as pertain to the last bin, leave some for others,etc, are those created by forum members. 99+ percent of players have never been on the forum and have no clue how their actions may effect the RSS owner or other players. They are simply playing the game per what the game shows and allows. The game does not show the effects of one's shopping on others so, as stated, 99+ of millions of players have no clue.

That follower you deleted most likely hadn't any idea that they were inhibiting your gameplay. Not that you were wrong to delete them...you have every right to, which is why they recently implemented that button. I'm just explaining that there is a very good chance that the person was clueless that they were interfering.

Knowing that may make it less frustrating when the next one comes along.
