A secret tactic to save Elix during push

Like me, I think many would have come across this problem that during Push, Elix runs out pretty fast especially if you are using Balloonian army.

Thought i would share a small tactic to save Elix during Push.

Start an Elix upgrade at crystal 3, and max your storages. Perhaps DE Drill or DE storage.
At Crystal 1 or when you are almost dried up on ELix, cancel the Elix upgrade.
You get instant Elix on hands. :cool: yippee .. clash on and get to masters and beyond where elix is not that rare to find.

personally..id prefer not to waste my builders time by doing something like that
upgrades for me have a much higher priority then my push.

to me the best way to save resources is depend on low tier troops for as long as you can. push as far as you can with your small body troops like barch and bam or other variations of those builds and get up to crystal 2-1 before you start using heavy army compositions like balloonions and gowipe. actually there are alot of people who continue to use barch and bam deep into masters level so if you can learn how and develop the patience to do it. then its probably your best bet at saving on precious resources

Plus you only get half of the elix back...

I think OP's point is that this is a way to have some "reserve" elixir during a push. I mean you are going to get about a 1.5 mil elixir injection if you this, but hey, it's better than nothing

I would do it with barracks.

Exactly !

I know from in-game friends who have this problem of dried up Elix during push. Just an option, depends if you want to try it or not :cool:

I only have lighting level 6 and freeze spells left, can't cancel those.

Take from last few maps in goblin campaign! Cheers

Solution? Don't use balloon if you can't afford it. :D

This is absolutely false. If you start an upgrade on collectors of any kind, it immediately harvests the elixir/de/gold that is in it before the construction begins.

If your storages are already maxed out when you begin the upgrade on the collector, you will simply lose what is in there when it harvests it upon the beginning of construction.
