DE Farming with Hogs at Crystal 1/Master 3

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible to farm DE with Hogs around Crystal 1/Master 3. I know the loot bonus for DE is pretty good but is it worth it with Hogs? I was thinking of going up there when I upgrade the rest of my barracks to lvl 10 and I have to wait 6 days. Please point me to another DE farming thread if it exists, but I have already seen the Balloonion and Giant/Healer thread. I am asking about the possibility of Hogs for farming. (I have lvl 5 Hogs and lvl 6 Heal Spell, TH9)

Using Hogs to farm for DE - is self-defeating... You will spend as much/more on Hogs at that level than you will gan farming. Also, since the update, Heal/Hogs is fairly worthless at that level which has mainly TH10's with Dual infernos. I suggest farming DE with a cheaper basic mix of troops and Rage/Lightning Spells.

If you want to farm for DE at that range, you might try to use balloonion. A ballionion army at hall 9 with 50 minions and 20 balloons, in combined with 1 or 2 heal spells will gain you lots of DE (providing that you know what base to attack, aka. base with infernos in the center and xbows face down, or in the center). I used that army for the last pushing period at th9 (which carried me to around 2881 trophy)

Since people tends to put their DE storage to the side of their base up there, you should be able to get to their storage, while winning the battle at the same time, the loot bonus will make up for the cost of minion.

Thanks for the responses! I am going to use hogs to get up there but once I am there balloonion it is!

I learned a lot (if not all, lol) from that thread.

You could farm with Hogs, just a little harder if hunting for DE. 30 hogs costs 1500 DE vs 60 Minions at 600. So you would defintely make less DE. But I do find hogs are actually a little easier then balloons to get gold and elixir on top of the DE.

But the only farming that is really useful up in Masters is for DE. Easier to get gold/elixir in gold/crystal league.

Sometimes the way I farm DE with Hogs is to find a base that has a DE storage near an edge. Then release a few hogs, with a heal spell perhaps to clear out the defenses near the DE. Then run archers or goblins to loot.
