Hi guys, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section, new to this forum.
My townhall is currently level 8, and I was wondering around what level should my defences and stuff be before upgrading my townhall to level 9, was wondering if you guys can give some suggestions, thanks! Tempted by the xbow :/
FYI, already have plans to upgrade my wizard towers to at least level 4-5.

No offense but your base does need some work. Your walls are a bit low, you should work on getting all of them to level 6 and some to level 7. Try maxing out your base, it is a very important thing to do.
Move the town hall outside, centralize the CC more so it is not lurable. Then just farm like heck in 1400 trophies. You should be pretty maxed out in 4 or 5 months
Even though I'm only a TH 6, I have learned that maxing out my base is important before I go to a new TH. Back when I was TH 5, maxed out, I was doing better than most premature TH 6 upgrades. Yes, I know I'm not very experienced, but I would recommend maxing. It helps in the long run.

In my opinions, the order. These could be done at the same time, or a basic idea.
Splash damage- Mortars, Wizard Towers\_-_/ Air Defence.
