I am new to Clash of Clans. I am trying to upgrade my town hall to level 3 but I need 4000 coin. The max I can have on me is 2500. I cant up grade anything else or buy anything else. How can I upgrade?

Sounds to me like you need to buy another, or upgrade your current gold storage
I cant increase gold storage until I upgrade town hall to level 3
Did you build your 2 gold storages?
it is only letting me buy/build 1 Gold and 1 Elixir storage until I upgrade the town hall to level 3

Your gold storage must be lvl 1 if your max gold is 2500 (1,5k in gold storage and 1k in town hall). You can upgrade your gold storage to lvl 2 and then 3 to increase its capacity.

Try to be sure u have 2 gold storages and if they are on max level!
