Abuse of global report button!! Take it away supercell!

So my village name is 14steeli I'm level 89 and leader of the clan Sinister CoC. Recently iv been on global recruiting, and I keep getting reported for nothing. Iv been banned from global chat for almost two weeks every 24hr. When my banned timer runes out I get on global day hi and start recruiting not even an hr into it I get reported again. This morning I got online and said hi to everyone in global set my phone down to get a cup of coffee came back and noticed I was banned from global. I think the report button need to go mean we have a mute button why do we need a report button? I my self am getting very fed up with getting banned from global because some child/or immature clasher is "report happy". It's not fair to anyone, I my self have never cussed or be abusive of chat rules. And yet I get banned all the time. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? If so what's everyone's thoughts about it? SHOULD THE REPORT BUTTON BE TAKEN öff? Why can't there just be a mute button?

Happens to everyone, just try and stay away from global. I only go on rarely when I need to recruit, might wanna lurk until someone worth recruiting pops on and then make an entrance.

Hi, it takes quite a few people to report you in order for you to receive a 24 hour ban, if this is happening often i'd suggest changing your approach. The forum is a great place to recruit and you can check people out for who they are not just their bases here.

Isn't an "approach" issue. Many of us (especially high level player) got the same problem in the global chat.
Is a "trick" used by bad and mean player to avoid high level player to chat or recruit, and i don't see why players that are always kind and respectful must be banned over a few report from people without any check or chance to respond to that.

oh sure I agree it is terrible when they report with no reason, but my point is that many people have to report for the person to be banned, so if this is happening often then it might help the OP to change the way he is asking people.

The report function will not (in the short term at least) be removed so I am trying to help him with some advice.

Oh, ok, now i see what you mean before.
But i still think that is unfair, and is kinda annoying, to punish kind players while the others are still unpunished.

Change my approuch? Iv done that. Like for instence this morning. I said hi the got coffee of back on global and saw that I was banned. There's no way around this. Lower level players with clans dislike higher level players and better clans recruiting so they report us. SUPERCELL needs to just address this. Even for not recruiting are you saying anyone that high level just can't talk on global ?? What's the point in haveing global chat then? I like talking on global and helping lower level players with tips on there base ect. But it's to the point now we can't even talk on there without getting reported by clasher that are "report happy". I know how the report/banning process works. SUPERCELL SHOULD REALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. If I'm getting banned on global for saying hi that means multiple clashers are reporting me with in a "certain" amount of time, for just saying "hi"! That should be a prime example that the report button needs to go. Or atleast there should have to e a system that proves that a clasher that got report actually said something affensive before he/she is banned.!

I am not sure if the Global function is working correctly, as I have been banned a lot and yet I am the one who is very mature on the global, Giving advice, Helping others out.

A lot of HLP (High Level Players) Have also been complaining that they get banned and reported for not letting low levels join there High Clan, such as Quantum Web, I have seen them on Global, They say they don't ever speak on global because too many Low levels, Report them, as they will not let them in there clan.

Also there are some words such as I need a good clan, On global if you type that in this is what happens - I ne***g*od clan, or something like that. I have reported this as an issue, My response was they would add these words to the Whitelist or something, But then why aren't they already on the Whitelist or whatever Rude Word system you have? Only rude words should be coming up in **** Not polite words.

Back to the level reporting system, I did make a Feature Request, Here! .

In the feature request, I explain we should have a Global Level Selector, This allows you to be on a global with the Level E.g. 75+. Only level 75 and above will be able to access that global, This is very hard to code, Assuming to what they have to do to implement this feature. But this will help the reporting, As high levels are mature enough not to do what low levels do. This also helps with Recruiting ;).

I try a really friendly approach saying like nice base nice clan whatever. You have to make them like you then they leave you alone.

At first, you can only report a limited amount of people a day, so many ppl dont do it to troll. And when the report button was added, many ppl were happy because global had a lot of swearing and stuff (Dont know if the filter was added earlier or later though), which changed after it was added, so it isnt only being abused, it actually helps the game being good for younger childs as well

There are a few things you can do.

Don't use mute. (if they think they are getting ignored you'll feel their wrath)
Check a global for a few minutes before commenting. You know the ones you just leave immediately anyway, don't join them,
Stay polite, if you leave say goodbye (or again they think they are getting ignored
Don't give comments with unsolicited advice ever, comment on profiles, clans, or even blatant lies that people make.

I completely agree though.

The kids have learnt the power they have when we are starting to see comments of:

"Accept me or I will report you"

I have the exact same problem as the OP, its unfortunate that the global chat is ruined by the report button. The best advice I can give is just stick to the forums, I was getting banned from global every 2 days now I don't go on there at all.

I completely agree. I am elder in a lvl 90+ clan and occasionally I will go on global if we need a member. The issue is, I cannot be on global for more than 5 minutes without getting reported. Two things happen where I end up getting reported: 1. Someone, usually around lvl 20, will request to join and I, or another elder, will decline them. When they ask why they were declined, I will apologize and say we require all new members to be lvl 90, but they do not seem to get it. They will then say "invite me or I will report you"
2. The other, more common, way for me to get reported is to decline an invitation to a clan. I am an elder in a top 600 clan, and have no intentions of leaving, and I try to make that clear when people ask if I want to join. We've all been on global, and know just how many very weak clans there are with only a few low lvl members in them. I will be asked to join like 10 clans, and every time I decline I am reported.
The simple solution here would be to remove the report button. If someone is being mean, mute them, simple as that. Also, if you had to write a reason you reported the person, there might be less bogus reporting going on.

I ALSO GET BANNED FOR NO REASON FOR RECRUITING!!! I DIDNT EVEN SAY A SWEAR WORD!!! My village account is jeff294763 btw. Someone plz remove the 24 hour ban!!!

If you've been banned you must understand that you can't report someone during the ban...

Also, if you spam global by saying 'join my clan' over and over, I can totally understand why people report you. In fact, I report people who do this myself.

They dont need to remove it, but what if a box popped up like the one when u kick someone, and you had to just type why you were reporting them. This would at least prevent some accidental and stupid reports.

True and i also hope that is someone says a swear word they automatically get banned 24 hours instead of having a report button

yes i agree. this happens with me as well. some kids wanna just report everyone. or i have an argument with someone and they can't take the act they got dissed. lol. but i agree. whats the point of having a mute and a report button?
