1700 Trophies

Just recently started pushing to get back in my old, elite clan ( Wrath of God) and I'm currently grinding through 1700. Not saying it's not easy to get TH and 50%, but the loot here is horrendous. TH9 trying to get 60,000 gold for a wizard tower upgrade (to level 7) and I can't even find that!

Im just saying, 1700 is No Man's Land. There is a complete over-population of crappy, level 5 collector, >TH8 raids at 1700. It's a nightmare for me to even try to find an ounce of gold.

So, if your having trouble farming stay below 1600 or above 2000. The middle ground is the last place you want to be.

What trophy range do you hang around? What are you going for there? (Trophies or Loot?)

Depends on the day but usually around 1900 is where I farm Gold and Elixir, whenever it goes dry I alternate between 1500-2300+ depending on where the loot is at, I am Town hall 9

If you're TH9 then drop to 1,400.

If you're TH10 then come up over 2,000.

I'm farming at 2,700 and filled my gold in just over 4 hours. Once I start 2 more builders going later today I don't need to raid for 6 days (due to all the long build times now)! Loot is fine if you ask me.

I'm a new TH 10 so I'm curious about how you go farming past 2,200. Are you boosting your spell factory and raiding with mini balls or without the boost? Also, if you're putting your device down between raids at such a high trophy level (relative to farming) aren't you afraid people are going to be constantly raiding since all you need is to be past 3-4 million gold to be offering 400k of your gold.

I'm using balloons and dragons, (Bad? Lol?) as of now. It saves DE in the long run and I figure it is worth the wait if I'm using all the spells 80% of the time. You say you filles gold in 4 hours, generally speaking if you manage 3-4 BAM raids in 2 hours, 6-8 overall, you're making insane amounts?? I rarely see a base with more than 200k gold at crystal one, and the ones that do are usually maxed th 10s. Haven't seen an abandoned in a week.

Check out my base if you'd like, partially defended th is the way to go. Everyone commits to the town hall snipe to either give up and lose or barely get past it. I lose 50k+ resources in 1/5 raids.

Interesting base, althought your gold storages are fully exposed behind. I don't think I would be able to handle so much paranoia lol

Firstly, I've just re-read my first message back and can understand why you read it that way. I wasn't trying to say I made 8 million gold in 4 hours. I think I made around 6 million in the 4 hour period. The win bonus at Masters III really helps but average win was 250 to 350 (+ bonus). I also had 4 things boosting (2 barracks / 1 de barracks / spell factory). I guess I was more trying to say loot is out there and now that I have it I don't need to do anything for 6 days as all my builds are 10 to 14 days at the moment. Sorry if it came across as bragging Gold per hour amounts.

Under 2,500 I found I could leave my device turned off for most of the day without attack (TH protected). Plus, when I did get attacked the majority were failed Hog attacks which didn't take much. Of course every now and again I would get hit hard. This was when the first attack failed and I didn't replenish traps / CC in time.

Over 2,600 I need to keep the device active more but seeing as I boost some barracks I'm battling quicker which helps. Again, not losing much each defence and that's with both ITs and an x-bow upgrading. I was maxed TH9 though if that helps.

Haha agreed! Normally I would have the storages switched, but they are exposed because I am currently doing walls.

Stitch - You convince me to go back to Bam for a while, I always seem to run out of time with 'Bad'. I still fail to see a lot of good bases; are you finding strictly abandoned or mainly exposed bases?

Only 1 was abandoned. I don't get all the loot available, just either a chunk of the gold or perhaps go for the DE. Then try to get the league bonus if possible.

Here are some examples, if you wanted to see their bases then just find them in game. Raiding every 15 to 20 minutes.

Awesome, thanks for the reply and insight. I figured it would be tough up there but as long as the device is running it's safe. I'll switch up my farming once our upcoming push is over. Cheers.
