What this game needs is something that's unlocked at TH7 or 8. All these new buildings are focussed TH10.
This various threads on the update constitute thousands of posts, the vast majority of which are unfavorable of the loot system, but you think they should all be ignored because ... ???
Most of the posts say "the loot sucks", which definitely needs to be addressed. It's not our responsibility to tell SC how to fix their game (any more than it's my job to tell a chef to add cumin if the soup is bland). Nonetheless, numerous suggestions have been made in the forums since the update, but there is no evidence that SC is paying attention. Frankly, that right there is the best argument for us all just shutting up already and moving on to another game.Quote:
Do yourself a favor, read through this thread and quote all the complaints that you think needs to be addressed, and can be addressed based on the post alone.
There are no games that last forever without ever "declining", even the most successful ones will have some sort of "declining" period at some point before new features are added. It all matters to users, as the developers are humans too. continue playing if you like it, or just call it quits if you don't. Death of a cell(you) has no effect on the Supercell(body) and quickly replaced. =x
Two words, constructive feedback. That's what SC is looking for. If there are thousand of one liners saying "loot sucks" and nothing else, VS a single well written post on how a person is able to find good loot, i'd think that the loot is fine.
Yes suggestions had been made, and i do believe SC sees those suggestion, i'll leave it to them to decide. SC reads suggestions, but they should not waste their time to explain why they are not implementing every single one of them.
If you want to help the game, post a well thought out post on how you are suffering. Only when these type of well thought out loot problem posts contribute to the majority of post will i agree that it needs fixing.
Do u have any idea how annoying it is as a restaurant owner to have the same bunch of customers come in day after day, order the same thing on the menu, and then complain it sucks? When asked why, they just say "it's your job to figure it out, i'm going to eat next door". Yet, they come back every single day, saying nothing more than "this food sucks"
Very constructive.
I believe CoC was originally planned to end at TH9, and TH10 was the furthest SC could go using the same 'longer, more expensive upgrades' algorithm.
Seeing the recent responses from SC (i.e. non-existent?), it appears that some of the posters above may have found the answer --- that CoC is unsustainable for veteran players who have ventured beyond TH8, and the best bet may be to leave the game as it is since there will always be a constant influx of new players which will maintain CoC's Top Grossing App position. SC is probably betting on their next new game(s) (Boom Beach is still constantly being updated and remained as an Open Beta in Canada despite it already been there for months, unlike their previous practice of '1-month beta before releasing to global') to follow CoC's footsteps.
Frankly, more could still be done to CoC to keep the game alive, such as allowing customisation of the Heroes (like skill trees etc so that each of our Heroes can be unique), besides the other things already mentioned by many. Personally, I am not having much optimism on the upcoming updates any more and feel that CoC is already more or less an abandoned child which continues to act as a milking cow for SC's future projects.
"“The biggest thing with a live game is that it’s important to keep the game running, keep the players happy and listen to them a lot more,” says Lassi Leppinen, a Supercell co-founder and product lead for Clash Of Clans. “We try to summarise what is important and what the big audience is really saying about us and to us. If there’s something that thousands of players are saying, we listen and improve the game."

Let's hope they're listening.
