That's because the guy has extremely high donation levels
All level is, is an indication of player progression and dedication.
Levels are not completely irrelevant; they are a good sign whether the player donates and plays a lot.
That's amazing.. haha
Okay, I admit that its not completely irrelevant, because it is, in general, of a players ability. However, the level itself has no benefits and examples like this demonstrate why it is highly inflated
Most people dont really care about levels at least since the league badge next to the name was removed.
I was just about to post it now u just saw on global am i right?
You can't use an extreme example and use it to prove that it is the norm.
For most of the players, levels are a good indicator of how much they donate and as well as their progression in the game.
What is your point that you are trying to get through?
i disagree steve. you can go all out for a few seasons of donations and get to a very high level.. compared to a years play of some other people.... N8 got 360k donations in a season.. do that twice (1 month) and think about how many levels u go up...
level literally means nothing now.. but being level 100 gives u slightly better status
Thinking about it, it may possibly be as a result of the level bug that we experienced around 14 months ago - some people gained a ton of levels, most were put back to normal.
Granted it's strange he's such a low TH to have been around for so long.
Depends I play more than most but am still just under L100. Main reason being I don't really donate with my main account because it stuffs up the way I queue troops. Instead I created a second account that only donates and is L70 or so. Sooner or later my second account with L1 defenses that I hardly play will probably pass my nearly maxed TH9 in level.
Lol looked em up he's got some insane donations ;).
By that logic, that guy is in crystal league, so leagues are totally irrelevant.
Case and point :)
Irrelevant? That shows how amazing that guy is. I bet everyone in his clan loves this dude. He is a beast for having that many donations.
Unless he is in a real low level clan I doubt it considering his troops will be low level.
More likely he is a clan hopper (which would also explain the benefit of sitting in crystal leagues) unloads his garbage troops on people and moves on to the next clan. This also lines up with his army in his camps, low level giants for donating and archers for th sniping and filling last spots.
I could be wrong this is pure assumption based solely on the one screen shot
Pretty sure his name is Dave, and not Steve. It was 340k, and talk about extremes... didnt do it for lvls although it was a neat side effect. I did it because I like to win, and did. This is very similar to the gold grab thing. They are just rough indicators that, when taken all together, can be a pretty good indication of what type of player you are.
BTW please feel free to try and donate 340k/season once. Then you can ponder the idea of doing it twice in one month.
Not irrelevant but not necessary. He won't win at all up there but every once in a while those who have maxed bases will. The thing is that defenses are restricting. I lose some trophies and I can't rely on my defenses to get them back. I need offense. While I might not need defense it could be helpful. Still he shows that defense is relevant but not needed.
Someone REALLY DONATED 340,000 TROOPS in 1 Two Week PERIOD? ?? THATS FREAKING INSANE and INCREDABLE
oh my god that's like impossible
He must have super powered lv 3 giants, what a champ.
Unimpressed....NEXT!
Dafaq did i just see...... Dat guy is crazy 0_0
Donating don't need a skill, you only need to buy gem
Speed up your barrack n buy elixir, then move to any clan only for donating then leave
or you make a clan for donating, a lot of people need donated
oh cmon, lvl is not irrelevant!!! its a nice barrier to put for upcoming recruitment's!!!
Clan hopping for donations sacrifices your cc troops' offensivd capabilities, you can't request while clan hopping, at least not for decent troops.
So basically it's a grind that result in you not being able to enjoy clan chat and clan castle troops if you do it continuously.
Sounds similar to collecter farming and lightning DE to me.
How can he have $8 mil for storage but not enough storages.....gotta be a bugged base somehow.
The pic in the OP : once this guy starts to upgrade his base, he's gonna be on a mosnter level.
If the donations amounts come about as part of their playing routine or they are actually donating worthwhile troops (rather than spamming rubbish troops to anyone they can dump them on), then level is very relevant. Everyone likes and appreciates a good donator.
Naturally some take things to extreme and make a mockery of the very thing they are devoting so much time to.
I've never understood why donations affect your level.
Surely if levels were based purely on base development then there would be a better way to match up players. I'm not talking in regular match making (this should remain on trophies) but instead they could have really done something useful with the leagues.
ie: A maxed TH10 would be very different level to a prem TH10 and so would not appear together.
Maybe then we could have actually fought people in our leagues for rankings and possible small gem rewards at the end of each fortnight.
I'm still confused by the whole purpose of the league system and the rankings screen - utter pointless.
You know what else tells their donations? The achievement that actually lists the number they've donated. If you want to know their strength, just look at their base. It takes just as many clicks as seeing their level. The level number was made redundant by the Legue Badge and Player Profile updates.
renonv is actually a long-term player (If he played normally, he would probably be Town Hall 9 or so now), but he just never upgraded his Town Hall. Why? Because TH4 is the most fun for him. And the whole point of playing a game is to have fun, right?
I dont think that levels are useless, because they show dedication. :)
Yeah that was wierd!I only read about that bug a few days ago,Alot of people were complaining that they were a higher lvl than they should have been,I would honestly be happy about that..Do you know roughly how many people were affected? And how much of a difference in levels there were?like was it gaining 5 or 10 levels or closer to 20-30 overnight?
