Allow access to all supertroops if gold pass is purchased.
Second-have a new supertroop each month or every 2 months
Pay to win? This seemingly will allow gold pass owners to have access to all, while the normal F2F player could only have one.
As said above: pay-to-win much?
Also having supercell design a new super troop every 2 months would work them too hard, and too many options would be too confusing as well.
Technically, not P2W, but did break the intention of Super Troop
If cooldown is excluded in the calculation
4 SUPER TROOP COST 215,000 for 7 days
x 4 = 28 days = 860,000 dark elixir
which cost about 25,800 gems
which cost about 180 US dollar
A gold-pass gives you normally "1rune of DE" "250,000 DE"
which roughly gives you 50% access to SUPER TROOP
And 2 new Super Troop is coming
This would just make the game P2W.NO to this one. Also,it would be hard for the devs to make a new supertroop every month.
Making all super troops available is advantage
Making all super troops purchasable that gives you advantage is pay-to-win.
When you pay for that advantage while others can't, it means you are paying for the advantage that gives you a higher chance of winning.
I wrote down so many annoying redundancies to ask you how is it not "pay-to-win" ?
I could see many complaints from some Gold (yes, Gold) pass players. When you have a Super Troop, you cannot cook the "normal versions" which occupy less space. Way it is now, each has a choice of using the "Super version", or the "Regular version".
Gold pass gives the player lots of resources, including DE. It allows the player to elect if to use that DE on a Super Troop, or anything else. So it actually right now give you a "free Super Troop of your choice" by giving you the neccessary DE to purchase such.
And what are their weaknesses?
>Sneaky goblins are much better for farming than the regular goblins which occupy the same space.
>Super Wall Breakers are much better at breaking walls than their Regular CounterParts which occupy the same space.
They still offer an advantage over the normal troops right now,IMO.(can't really comment over future Super Troops)
You only name 2 of the 4 super troops, so I assume the other 2 have weaknesses?
You only need 3 max wallbreakers to break a max lvl wall, equaling 6 troop space instead of the 8 of the SWB. Additionally you can use a range in combination with a QC to only use 1 WB.
The sneaky goblin used for farming offer no competitive advantage, this game has always been pay to progress faster.
Sneaky goblins are sometime used for funneling in pro attacks, that is the only "p2w" aspect I can find to it.
The troop space comparison is all you have re SWB's?
What about higher success rate, what about death damage? Both, individually, more than compensate for the 2 extra spaces. Also, a nontrivial number of Clashers take a tester when using vanilla Breakers, so housing space is actually the same for them.
I'm not saying SWB is not easier to use, I'm saying you can be more efficient with normal wallbreakers, so technically, they are (not necessarily) an advantage. The probably are in most cases.
Honestly without putting much thought into it I just assumed the super troops aren't supposed to be flat out better in every (most) situations than their normal counterpart.
Just because it has a minor disadvantage doesn't imply its not better
than its regular counter part.
SWB cons:
- has more housing space
SWB pros:
- explodes in contact or in death
- explodes in a much larder radius compare to its regular version
SB cons:
- has more housing space
SB pros:
- higher hp
- rage for a few seconds
Super Giant cons:
- has more housing space
Super Giant pros:
- More damage to walls
- More hp
Sneaky Gobin cons:
- has more housing space
Sneaky Gobin pros:
- hidden for a few seconds
- more hp
So tell us which part doesn't make the super troops better than their counterparts? increased damage isn't even taken into account yet.
Can you cite something from Supercell suggesting that? I certainly can't recall anything.
Of course they are better, but even if they were lke the gear ups and just "different" it would still be something affecting vameplay which would only be availablr by paying.Quote:
So having acces to not necessarily better troop isn't really pay to win I think?
Absolutely.Quote:
The idea is still terrible.
If you drop the word gold off that gold pass comment and made it just about the pass( f2p ) all of the argument goes away in this thread lol why not add a supertroop or a limited time event troop to the pass every other month as a prize or perk for playing.. I wouldn't say no to that lol
IMO the goal of the game is to farm and war, that is what brought a large contingent of the player base into the game and what keeps them here. Slowly, that focus is changing...BB, passes, events, loot sinks etc. At some point the balance will shift to people focussing on only playing for these things instead of farming or war. As I see it, the constant requests for more free things is a good indicator of that shift. I would prefer to see the freebie train derailed or at least not made any bigger than it already is. We have lots of ways to get freebies SC, thank you very much but please dont kill your own game with these kindnesses.
