Forum Chill

Hi guys, I have thought for a bit about this and thought it would be a good idea. The forum is a great place, full of great people, but sometimes it can be hard to chat to them. What I am thinking about is a permanent forum chill clan, which originated from stimuli on the forum elite thread, that would be run by someone's alternate accounts. This chill clan would be based on the idea that everyone can join of all levels, however you stay there for a bit to chat. You don't stay for a long time but for maybe an hour or so to chat to fellow forumites, and get to know some of the awesome legends here. It can be a bit hard to see who is a forum member, so I think you have to request to join saying you are from the forums and state your forum name. I would like to see your thoughts on this, and suggestions. Thanks for reading :).

Sounds cool but not many people will be able to join becuase most are commited to their own clans and can't just leave for a chat.

I believe this is pretty much what forum elite is. Not sure when the next one is but it will be soon.

I thought about this, and it depends. I know some people often leave their clan to visit another clan family, however it depends on other's clan responsibilities. I guess we will just have to see.
Edit: Mysterio, I believe Forum Elite is more of a push clan, and this was inspired from the comments I read about chill clans on their thread, and this is more of a permanent clan that will work like a chat room with forumites joining to chat for a bit and coming back to their clans. I do however see the resemblance.

I really would love to try and keep it active, and thanks for your input, I definitely think this could be a problem.

Try searching for "down to forum". I seem to remember them doing something similar.

Nothing wrong with you setting up a weekend clan once every month or two and advertising in Off Topic for people to stop by and say hi. You wont get anything permanent though.

The forum is a great place to interact with good people but they're commited to their own clans, as others have said.
