Townhall Rankings

Have rankings for every townhall or just your own townhall. Clash of Stats only feature the highest trophies for each townhall but since the legend league update it's impossible to beat the ones before the update. So a live townhall ranking is much more accurate to depict what your status comparative to your own level.

The rankings will only feature players in the top 100 players (Supercell can adjust this number) so lower players will not be discouraged. As to the problem of losing your ranking when upgrading pointed out by many of the developers. Maybe supercell can design a system where you have a permanent badge in your profile similar to legend trophies that indicates you previous rankings on this new system.

Clash of Stats has confirmed live rankings for both multiplayer village and night village by townhall.

If you're asking for a TH specific ranking then you're out of luck on that idea.

Why?

This "idea" will only encourage perma-maxing across all TH levels.

If you're referring to people permanently maintaining maxed town hall bases that's already a thing. This wont change a single thing to the amount of "perma-maxers" in the game.

Yes, perma-maxing (that's remaining at a TH level) is a thing. There are some people who have perma-TH 9s and will not upgrade any higher. I believe they want to remain there as they find that War (Classic only I believe) is much more balanced at that level then it is higher up.

Sure, it would. A max th9 possibly willing to move to th10 would be hesitant because their ranking would tank from very high At their current th level to very low upon th upgrade completion. I’m not saying your idea is a bad one, because it would be nice to see rankings sorted by values other than trophies, but any idea that discourages a player from upgrading their village goes against the spirit of the game. Perma-maxers can’t be stopped, but they shouldn’t be given additional reasons to stay where they are progression-wise.

Yes I have 2 perma-maxing bases: TH7 and TH9. It's not for war purposes it's for the enjoyment of destroying TH13s. I personally believe that other perma-maxers like me would like to see how they place against others. Also, it would be an incentive for players to improve and not rush their townhalls, which would also benefit Supercell to earn more money.

When you get into legend league it really doesn't make much difference because it is now impossible for non-TH13s to stay. Most perma-maxers don't upgrade anyways so I don't think it would make much difference. Just like how I've kept my TH9 for years without upgradnig.

You can't destroy actual well developed th13s with those low accounts, but in any event, it would be an incentive for players to stay at the lower level and not upgrade, which would not benefit SC or earn any additional money. It would do the opposite.

I suspect you are wrong about most max accounts. Most people who max a level do upgrade to the next. This was encouraged even more by the changes to the war matching system. It was further encouraged by CWL. To add in a hall level ranking system would encourage players to do the opposite: it would encourage them to stay at a lower level.

This would hurt some of the ranking that has already been set but I would like rankings to be more organized by town hall though so I see more of other TH10's instead of Rushed TH12's

Yes that's what happens in most cases but I'm more specifically talking about perma-maxed bases as of right now.
