For me, i never sell eggs, why don't you make food that need egg like pie or corn beard, i think anyone will buy that kind of food in max price.
For wheat, if you want to sell it quickly, you must sell in acceptance price i think, it should be around 1 until 20 for 10 wheat.
I always sell wheat at max price, eggs for 179 coins and my shop is nearly always soll out. Actually, everything what I sell, I sell at max. price. :o
Itīs a good way to make money, donīt ask how much I already collected, Iīd definitely upset many people here, lol. I work as a banker, so itīs in my blood to collect money.

I buy stuff at full price from starter farms (< level 20) or if I want something and cannot be bothered to wait, but I have to admit that for wheat or corn, this has hardly happened.
I buy at any price if I'm trying to fill a boat order or have not noticed that my stock is low and have used nearly all of it.
I sell eggs at near max price. I use it as a dummy item to hold my ad, but several times a day, people buy them.
I do it for two reasons: I want something that won't be bought quickly to hang my ad on, and I always have extra eggs, and it's good to get 10 items out of my barn to free up space.
If you're filling your whole stall with items like eggs and wheat, I suspect you'd make more money if you set your prices lower. The turnover matters, too, especially considering that in Hay Day, there's no production cost (once you've bought the animals and machines needed). Selling 300 eggs for 1 coin each makes you more money than selling 10 eggs for 180 coins.
