What is your farming strategy. It seems that before the loot update, the only way to go was to Barch/Bam collectors. Now I see so many different strategies ranging all the way to hog/healer mentioned in Sharp's thread.
So...what do you like to use? Do you aim for Storages? Enlighten us...
My gold grab is around 620 million and I only use barb arch bam or balloon minion depending on my time available and mood. When I have the free time and i'm eager to raid or I need gold asap(builder freeing soon etc)I use bam. When I have less time but I won't be away for 40+ minutes I use barb arch with 5 wall breakers. When i'm away for 40+ minutes I cook up a balloon minion army. Hopefully this was helpful to you.Quote:

I have farmed 466M gold, and the main army I'm using is Barch.
I'm currently experimenting with giants as I shift my focus now to DE farming.
I'm at 660mil gold grab, th10 (190mil gg at start of th10) And. I got my gold grab fro loonion and giant healer de farming.
Th7: 100m GG(full purple walls) Healer/Giant Combos ( tried BAM/Barch, but my troops were lvl 3-4, weak) 1 month
Th8: 300m GG(full skull walls) spent 1 and half a month on sub200, using goblins.... got full black walls there
Th9: 620m GG(almost full lego) used BAM at first... then Barch, boosted all 10 days to get 2xx legos and a few lavas, Barch and boosting was fast and made me get 18m-20m a day to do the legos

Maybe my minions are lv 4, and also I'm looking for DE to get my queen to lv 10
I'm at 700m plus, I'm always using barch, I would say i attack an even amount of storage and collector raids, I usually carry 4 rages, but when i switch it up I could go 2 rages 2 zaps ( for mortars), or 4 zaps for 2 mortars.
Edit: I only zap the mortars if it's lv6 plus.
My army was, is and will be:
12x giants
15x barb
20x minions
30x gobs
10x wb
40x archers
3x hogs(to lure cc troops)
I farm at gold ||| ,or gold ||.
I target both collectors & storages.

I use 104 archer / 100 barbarian / 8 wall breaker (barracks arranged 26/25/2) and always start with a full army so you can accurately predict how much of your new army is ready while next-ing.
I find 1400-1600 best for all purpose raiding
Yea were doing the same thing basically, and I believe you can keep going with your heroes. If you do one at a time that is. I'm at the same range and have farmed for a lv22, and have the dark for lv23 AQ. :)

mine is like 600+ millions ….barch is my favorite…….slower than bam, but the way to save up De for Aq
I'm around 630 mil GG and have used mostly Barch, with a little BAM mixed in here and there.
I generally only hit collectors/mines, but will also go for a storage if it's possible to get to without wasting a whole army to get there.
I use this setup, one Barracks qued with Barbs and three Barracks qued with Archers. 4 rage spells in the spell factory at all times (only used if needed to help break a wall).
Time is the name of the game for me with using Barch, when I have roughly 100 archers on board, I'll start to search, doing this, I will raid about every ten to fifteen minutes, and generally shoot for 200k in gold per raid if possible.
If you only use rage for breaking walls wouldn't jump be better. I use all rage as well but not just for walls.Quote:

It has enough tier 1 troops to easily do collector raids, but can also penetrate bases besides strong th9's/th10's if needed. While I thought BAM and Barch was ok, it drove me nuts when I'd see a decent base with 400k gold storages that I knew I wouldn't be able to get.

I'm a farmer at th8 roughly around 1200-1400 ts its been treating me well. i have been raiding on average 200-300k gold. i sometimes find myself taking collectors more than storages but just in case i find a base with good defenses i train 18 giants 2 healers 4 wall breakers and the rest is archers this strategy works well with getting deep into the base for resources.Good luck with farming ;)
Thanks for all the replies guys. I see there obviously no definitive sure fire way to raid so I appreciate the input. It seems to come down to whats comfortable, and if you're prioritizing DE or not.
I've been farming the last week with archer/barb/gob/hog combo. I had to change it up a little since the boost ended and hitting th10 shortly after. I've had a full de storage so I can afford to make hogs since my heroes are taking a break with all the new upgrades. I also did my spell factory right away so I had no access to spells which would allow me to bam or barch with a few rages. I just que up two barracks with archers, one with barbs,one with gobs, and the last two with hogs. You end up with something like 14-18 hogs, 50-70 archers, 20-30 barbs and 20-30 gobs depending on what I used in the previous battle. This comp allowed me to raid faster than just using giants in place of hogs since my goal was to have all 6 barracks working constantly and I have plenty of de to burn. I've been staying away from maxed th9 bases until my spell factory is back so I can add a few heals in for tough bases.
My GG is over 1 billion currently
