I just can't seem to wrap my mind around how many farms have 30+ fruit trees and bushes and they look all healthy and filled with fruit... If the tree/bush is only good for 3 uses 1)where do people get the money to replace them and 2) where do they find all the saws and axes to get rid of the dead ones? I try to revive any (very few) I see when I visit other farms, but no one has revived mine! I'm perplexed!

I am a serial harvester of trees and bushes, and I often have trouble keeping up with my need for axes and saws. Thank goodness I seem to get a lot of people in to revive my trees!
But I know that a lot of players aren't so interested in constant harvesting - they are happy to harvest only when they need the produce. The rest of the time, their trees sit there full of fruit and looking lovely.

But where in the heck do you get all the axes and saws?

I have teamed up with one of my HayDay friends and we each look in on the others farm once or twice a day to do tree & bush reviving.
Happy to do this with you too, if you like, add me as a friend & PM me to confirm
If you have an abundance of other "good" stuff - dynamite, tnt, land expansion/barn/silo items, you can trade these on the trading threads for stuff like saws and axes.
Also keep an eye out in the newspaper.
You'll get them randomly when you harvest crops.
And I get Tom to get them sometimes when I am desperate!
I have a quite a number of trees and bushes ready for harvest around my farm however I only harvest when I need the fruit for producing other stuff because selling the fruit just isn't worth it in my opinion. I wrote about this in this thread:Quote:

When a tree or bush needs to be cut down I have the saws and axes I need an cut them down right after last harvest and replace the tree of bush immediately. Sometimes you need more fruit for boats and that is why it is usefull to have plenty ready to harvest because of the growing time after harvesting.
Regarding the money I suspect you are at a lower level. I don't have to worry about money when buying a couple of trees and bushes at higher levels money is not a problem in the game and you accumulate more then you can spend unless you are going crazy on gold walls.
Also I sometimes plant wheat on all my fields and keep growing and harvesting. When the silo is getting full I sell 10 wheat for 1 gold to get rid of it quickly. The only reason I do so is because clearing my field would give me a good item every time.
I generally buy one of each per day and just keep the fruit on the trees until I need it, I don't sell it. That way it doesn't use up storage space in my silo and looks really nice to <tree-hugger emoticon>
Well there are many ways you can get axes and saws. Plant all on wheat (it only takes 2 minute), and harvest them all. Rinse and repeat. Of course sell the wheat as well as it will fill up your silo fast. I do this everyday and get a lot of times from barn/silo upgrade materials, expansion materials, axes and saws. I do get a lot of saws and axes from doing this.Quote:

Another one is the red tool box, if you find a red tool box and when you open it successfully you can obtain items like mentioned above. Another one is spending diamonds on Tom (15 diamonds for a day) and having Tom get those items for you. I wouldn't spend real money on getting diamonds. Rather you can save up free diamonds by achievements, leveling up, or from the red toolbox (yes you do get diamonds from the red tool box (5 diamonds)). Once you collect 15, then spend it on Tom.
Also check Greg's farm once a day, usually when the spinning wheel truck comes in is when Greg's shop is updated and there could be saws and axes.

I have lots of fruit trees and bushes. I like the way they look planted in nice orchard rows.
And I like having them there, ripe and ready for when I need them. And not taking up space in my barn.
I pick fruit only to use in my own production and to fill boat crates. My own and others'.
I do a lot of wheating so I get enough saws. Frequently sell 10 at a time once I find I have 10 or more in my barn and no dead trees to use them on.
The axe story has changed since the introduction of the bees and even with the adjusted drop rate for axes I expect to hire TOM for a day to get enough axes to deal with dead bushes collected before the last update.
How are players placing their bushes so close together to get more fruit.

I'm not sure that I understand your question, but I'll try to give some ideas. The farm is laid out on a grid system, so one tree fits in one spot. Raspberries and blackberries take up two spots. It's possible to place items directly next to each other, so that they are close. As each bush or tree is harvested, it gets bigger, but still occupies only the same space.
When you harvest you get 2 fruit the first time, 3 the second, and 4 the third. At that point the plant withers, but you can ask for it to be revived once. It will then give another 4 fruit and die.
How you place plants has absolutely no effect on the number of fruit.

This cracks me up, I have 673 + tree and bushes and I hardly use them and I have over 400 saws and axes .....Im a mad buyer of RSS fruit sales .. I wish SC would create a mailbox where you the visitor can leave a free (gift) like a saw or axe to those farms that sell fruits in RSS.
