I am in awe of those attempting the Scorched Earth Challenge, or even seriously contemplating it.
My current mini-challenge is to not look at my voucher count until the boat event ends. It's soooo hard not to peek!
What's yours?

Mine is to reach 53 by the end of the event. Got to do those boat orders!!!!
I just want a second donkey to keep my little fellow company. The big bold horses are bullying him :(
We are working in masteries -- feed mill, sushi bar, and coffe kiosk specifically. Salad bar and sandwich maker later. Net maker and lure maker is just happening.
I think it's probably to have enough cash for the next machine that unlocks :) I know I could probably find out how much it will cost, but I'm deliberately not doing, so that with any luck I'll be pleasantly surprised and have some left over :D
Reaching level 100...12 levels away.
Getting 200 gold vouchers...27 more to go :)
Winning the tractor
Winning the windmill
Mastering the kiosk
Right now, I'm trying to earn 30,000 coins in a day so I can unlock my ice cream maker. Don't think it's gonna happen though!
I want to get my barn to 1,000.
Would love to get it to the max 10,000 one day, but that's a long way away, if I ever get there.
The fishing and lobster achievements... Two to go! About 500lb of fish and 90 lobster to catch. That will leave me with two left, the trucker and smelter.
During the boat event, my personal challenge is to turn over as many boats as possible AND still help other farmers fill crates. This excludes dairy and sugar for the most part. For the rest, if I come across a friend, follower, or farmer in the DD requesting help, and I have the product, I fill at least one crate of each type. (If they're in need of 3 crates of blackberry jam, and I have it on hand, 1 crate gets filled)
For me, this makes the game more interesting. I've been seeing lots of orders for feta cakes, fish pies, fish fillets, and lobster tails. These items in particular are really hard to keep on hand, so I'm constantly on the lookout to buy extras.
Collect those double vouchers while you can, folks! Wha-hoo!
Saving up enough money before I get to level 35 so I'll be able afford the jam maker when I do!
Win a windmill!!:mad::mad::mad:
Win a Big Red Tractor!...:mad::mad::mad:
;) @ Lovecats!
(I just got the Windmill last week....don't throw anything at me, I'm leaving!)
Mine is to complete the flipping citizen Kane 111. I wanted to reach this goal before Christmas but RL things got in the way oh and spent sooooo long scuba diving for the elusive pearl.... Thank goodness for the fireworks on the lake as I think they dislodged it.:p
Anyway if I stay stuck to this sofa for another few hours I might do it, but that means 2 hungry kids & a grumpy hubby:cool:
Hmmmm tough decision :p
I was only going for my donkey but then I remembered that I need my Captains III. I hope I can get it, I am gonna be at a bb game today so I will be away from my ipad about 9 hrs.:( Somebody want to play my farm for me:confused:.
Turbo Trucker III by myself - which means jewelry making since I have hit that level.
After that, back to getting my barn to 1000 so I can try Scorched Earth Challenge.
I am actively trying to master the jeweller, and also trying to get some hours on the coffee kiosk, but that is a sloooow process!
Two more achievements will get me 99 out of 99, so that's my current goal. I really have a lot more ore to smelt....
After that, I would like to get to level 100. I despair of ever completing the fish book. I just seem to catch the same fish over and over and over again.
~powdermonkey
I'm saving up for the jewelry maker since I'm halfway to 38!
Collect those rare decoration items everyone ELSE wants.
My current personal goal is to get the boat score hunter achievement. I'm about 170 points away. Once that's done I won't feel like I have to fill my own boats anymore and will be able to work on expanding my barn.
My current personal goal is to obtain enough gold vouchers to buy a waterfall. I'm just 2 away. I've been crossing my fingers on my boat orders to get some & being really really picky about my jewelry & metal bar truck orders (they're not exactly 100% random you know....). Hopefully with time & patience I will get my waterfall :D!!
edit: one step closer to the waterfall, just got another gold voucher :D. So that makes the total: 1 more gold voucher to get the waterfall.
I want the waterfall too but, as my challenge is to not look at the vouchers, I don't know how out of reach it still is.
Well I've just completed my Citizen Kane 111, which seemed to take forever... 95/99 .
Im going to treat myself ( forget about my morals for 5 minutes ) and purchase some diamonds to achieve my next personnel challenge. I need , I want , I must have another pearl ;););).
As I've not accidentally lost any diamonds for ages, I feel I can justify this purchase. And after all I am a woman & were never satisfied with what we've got.
To grow taller
Woah Helen! That's a real achievement! Think that will probably be my last one as I only advertise by accident:rolleyes:
your pearl is beautiful, I can understand your longing, I bought 2 mystery nets and was so disappointed with the results that I gave up!! Not sure I have the stamina for 35 (or however many it took for you) Good luck with your quest:)
I finally hit the 2million mark in coins. My current goals are to finish the masteries on my machines and my last 4 achievements.....some which may take forrrrrrever. :p
I'm doing the scorched earth challenge right now, but other than that.... my personal goals are to reach level 100, and get back up to 2,000,000 coins. I couldn't wait for the postman, so I ended up purchasing the BRT. I know I know...
My goal is to hit Golder Miner III. I need 12 gold ores to go! I've been at it f o r e v er .....:p
Yay, I just finished the boat score hunter III, so now my goal is to upgrade my barn at least two more times.
Upgrade my barn and silo so i can have 5 item of all!
I'm working on boat score hunter lll...2 more weeks, I'm guessing, until I get there. Also very close to the sauce machine level (tomorrow I should hit it).
A longer term goal is 1000 slots in my barn--only 14 more expansions to go-lol!!! (Barn is currently at 650 sigh) Maybe by July :)
You and those pearls...just what is that all about girl? I say hop the fence and snaffle one off you know who! Wouldn't miss just one surely?
Congrats on your CK3 too! Well done you! So does that mean the hoarding is over too? LOL. ;) (Joking friend, joking!)
Please "desensitise" now for those who may require it...
Not wanting to sound all "na na, na-na, na" (you know what I mean!), but I got mine 'by accident' when starting with the game (all wrong BTW) cos I just advertised non-stop. Literally thought that was the main game factor...that and the truck orders! LOL. I just lived at the RSS reading the DD... day-in day-out for weeks! LOL. Oh the picture of it!
Had no idea there was even such a thing as "an achievement" for 'anything' at the time.
Didn't even realise I had it until I read the "achievements" thread...then lo and behold...the penny dropped and a whole new world awaited me (Including TT & BC!). Add loads of pain and anguish as I had been playing backwards til then...was so behind with machines and boats and mines and well, everything!
Lordy...just thinking about it again makes me feel ill (and pretty silly!) But I survived it :)
Mine is to get 4 more gold vouchers to buy a horse :D
My goal right now is clearing my barn from saw and axe. I have around 50 saw and 30 axe and willing to trade it with BEM but nobody wants them :(
I also am longing for a waterfall. I have 11 gold vouchers so far, but none in the last few days:( Some time ago I was saving for one, got the required 15 golds and then decided to do the sensible thing and get more pets! Anyway, I now have them all (bar 2 bay horses, which I don't want:rolleyes:) so this time, in 4 vouchers, I can finally have a beautiful waterfall :)
The sauce maker kind of does itself doesn't it? Mine is running all the time and soy takes a lovely long time:) I've still a way to go but it will master by accident almost! The soup maker is nearly there, but mine is often dormant due to one ingredient or another being needed on a boat, or waiting for lobsters to cook, or fishing areas to free up again...... The killer is the coffee kiosk. Raspberry mochas are coming out of my ears and I've only managed 135 hours out of 960 so far.....and my next boat wants cream, so production is at a standstill for a while.........
I have a couple of goals I'm working towards my first is trying to get my barn up to 1,000 but that seems to be an on going thing which will take ages! My other goal I'm working on is the goal of selling to the little people and I also want to complete more of my fishing so I need to save up on some more gold and purple vouchers.
I have to mow the lawn. Oh no, that's real life. Back to the office today (RL too)
I am approaching the levels with sushi maker, salad bar. Do I want them? Where will I put them? Complete redesign of the farm layout coming up. Now, that's my hayday challenge!
Aww, I can relate to this! I've been trying to get a penny farthing for AGES to no avail!!! :( I'd love a windmill too!
Why are some decorations so sparse for some farms, while others are overrun with them? :( (I JUST got a boy gnome, finally!)That is the most frustrating part of HD for me. The part built on luck. The parts that you have to work to achieve are great, but the things like gold vouchers and catalog prizes are very random and impossible to attain.
I've got several at the moment!
I'd like to get my barn and silo to over 1000 capacity each. I would also like to get to level 60 before I start my new job, not sure if I will be able to as I've got a meeting next week, could be starting the week after!
thats enough to be getting on with I think.....
To NOT play Hay Day at all for as long as its takes for my stalker...oops..."uninvited guest" to LEAVE ME ALONE!
(Could YOU challenge yourself to do the same?...and especially during challenge you 'needed' to be partaking in?)
To outlast my "uninvited guest"
To not post unnecessarily because of HD withdrawal...and...If I happen to sleep-walk my way here to the Forums, to "read-only"
Enjoy your personal challenges.
See ya round folks
Just finished my first personal, got Capt. III, now to get my donkey.:o
You summed my situation up precisely! I am making an effort with the soup kitchen but again...likewise.
I do however have a waterfall:cool: - got it last week and love it:):) You note the newer machines I am not mentioning as I am really mainly using them when I need stuff and to keep a base amount in my overcrowded barn:rolleyes:
We'll get there eventually:):)
have a few...
1. Hit 100
2. Get all the machines (except for the last 2 smelters- overkill imho as I can't seem to keep ore in stock :P)
3. Hit all the achievements (Citizen Kane is going to be the killer one)
The fishie book.. I don't know if I'll ever finish it- it's looking pretty hopeless.. I get disheartened every time I fish- like powdermonkey- same fish every time. in one go I fished 6 times- every one of them was the same dang fish!
I'm sure I have more but those will do for now.
Oh yes..
4. BRT
5. Penny farthing bike
I already have the windmill.
I find it very easy to keep my 5 smelters filled 24/7. They take so long... i buy every shovel & dynamite i can find in the market and occasionally buy 10 ores if i find em and need em.
I have 20 of each on stock at all times.
The big advantage is that with 5 smelters you get your 3 stars faster (running time is accumulated) and the jewelry shop eats up bars faster than you can produce with 5 smelters, let alone 3.
•Get Turbo Trucker II & III (stocking up on items)
•Get Lobster Gourmand III (70 lobsters to go)
•Get Sports Fisher III (112 fish to go)
•Fully master Soup Kitchen and Candy Machine in a couple of days
* Upgrading silo and barn to 600 (now 550)
* Making coin for the lobster pool
After 6 months i have to say that my current personal challenge is returning everyday.
When i see:
- tickets opened for months and at the end closed because so much time has passed
- events where people have to spend "one month" salary to get to the top
- (specific to current event i got all green, order from sugar to fish, wheat, all kind so not all "easy")
- rss raiding, even when we politely ask not to
- trading thread so confusing that either i lose interest or see the "same post" over and over again.
- players "afraid" of helping because of raiders
Maybe just me but the game is losing the interest :(
Yea it wont be long before I attempt it. I have 10 of almost all items and more for the sugars, bread, popcorn...etc. My only concern is I'm 43,831 exp points from leveling, and Im not sure if I should level up first and buy the salad bar or just go ahead with it hoping i dont level up in the process.
I started this thread because I'm not brave enough (nor will I ever be) to even think about attempting the Scorched Earth Challenge, and I know we all have our own little challenges on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to do or get things within the game we'd like or are working towards, or even can only dream about.
The boat event is almost over here in the UK and I've still not looked at my voucher count to see what I can or can't buy. That's an achievement for me! I shall continue to wait until after Midnight (or the event board goes blank) and then, hopefully, have a nice surprise. :D
Now, what to try for next...?
Nooooo! I sent off my last boat ages ago because the next one will arrive after the event ends and it wants goats cheese and cream anyway, so will be cast off. I'm trying to stick to what I originally decided I'd try to do. Not long now...
And yes, I am trying. I've done 3 of the spots with a mystery net so far. Disappointment all the way with marker stakes and mallets (don't need them any more) and only two fish fillets per net too. Poor show, Supercell. :(
I have got to agree with Velcro; TTIII was one of the most fun things I have done on Hay Day. I didn't like doing truck orders so had mostly ignored that aspect of the game. Being unaccustomed to filling truck orders, I was nervous about TTIII and kept putting it off till my level was in the mid-sixties. Had all the new machines and thought it would be impossible. But a truck event started and once I began filling orders I just kept on going. Filled sixty two or so!
So, if you can, don't be nervous. If you don't have a big barn, follow prep advice, then just Go for it. Good luck with the TT achievements! Enjoy!
My goal is to keep getting the new machines and assets in the game.
I don't think I ever noticed before today that you can see the most truck orders completed in one day. My current total is 68. I think I'd like to do quite a bit better than that! Maybe 150?
What's everyone else's scores?
Right now working on my last 4 achievements:
- green thumb 3
- helter smelter 3
- boat hunter 3
- fisher 3
Also working on achieving my 3rd star on Feed Mills - just 500 hours to go, which I think is about 40 days... this will be my great personal achievement.
Working on two main ones currently, which link together quite well.
Citizen Kane III - 923 / 2000 - Still a fair old way to go.
Gather enough cash to finish the lobster pool expansion - Think I've done two so far.
Stay ahead of my friends (not my following) on the boat scoreboard.
188 trucks for me, and that was yesterday. I very much doubt I'll ever do more than that!
Current personal challenge is to stay out of the DD and conserve coins for a bit. My shopping addiction has outstripped my barn space and it's made even milking cows a very time consuming barn dance.
I want to master my smelters and jam maker, got a long way to go though :(
My personal challenge for now (until the event ends) is to get 522k. It's specific because I did the math & figured out I need that much to finish my golden wall & have enough coins left over for my next machine. So during the event my challenge is to make around 322k (or more) because I had around 200k before I started. But the downside is after I finish my golden wall, I'm not sure what to do with my extra coins. I would love to decorate more but just don't have the room *hint hint SC*.
Dang. I want a windmill! I got a topiary shaped like a wedding cake. :p
And 200 gold vouchers??? I just want 15, so I can get a waterfall. Is that too much to ask?
Somehow I'm getting gold vouchers left and right...still pondering if I should buy another 3 or 4 waterfalls or make an attempt to join the 100 gold vouchers club, haha. Where is that thread even? There is one, right? ;)
Thx! Wanted that elusive tractor more but I guess the windmill is a nice consolation prize :).
2014!! So far so good! :)
It's yours! Come by my shop, I'll put up the wheat. That would be nice :D
GirlMixALot: gotta join the gold voucher club. It's super ultra exclusive! :p
My top personal challenges are:
3rd star on sauce maker (120 hours to go)
99th Achievement - helter skelter (still a ways to go, I've made 3120 bars, so 680 left)
I don't think I'll ever get a 3rd star on the coffee machine. I'm on level 81 and not even halfway there. Am about 1000 hours away on the feed mills and have a long way to go to get to the 3rd star on the Salad, Sandwich and Sushi makers. So I don't see achieving any other goals happening soon.
My challenge is reaching 500 places for my barn and after that making lots and lots of money
I have just got the windmill...next stop BRT
Golden voucher 100+ club this is the thread :)
We have mastered feed mills (yay! -- been working hard on that since December) and the Patronage III achievement (last 11 days).
Next - probably the fruit farmer achievement and 2nd stars on coffee kiosk and salad bar --
I'd trade my tractor for a windmill!
As for my personal challenge...currently I am taking aim at Boat Hunter II. I have 4730-something points, and need 5000.
My current challenge is to get the boat. I have about 4k out f 16k coins. Wishe me luck!
What is this Scorched Earth Challenge??
I've just done Scorched Earth so I'm just enjoying the freedom to buy and trade right now!
My next challenge is to finish my last achievement, Helter Smelter III and 3 of the masteries, Feed Mills, Jeweller and Sushi Bar.
I have 8 more masteries to go but the lure workbench and the net maker will just happen of their own accord I guess. Hmm, maybe I should also try to expand the queue one more time for each, but 90 diamonds for each is a little steep right now!
I am just trying to get to the million coin club. I am 90,000 coins away. Which will be gone soon, because I still have a couple machines left to purchase. I have been loving the truck event, because I made 50,000 in one day. I also want to win the BRT. I die a little every time I don't get it...
