Say i have 8,000,000 elixir and 4,000,000 gold. When i watch replays, the available loot is 400,000 of both resources. How does this work since i have 4,000,000 more elixir then gold? When ever i get off im getting raided, by more people around my level. How do i stop this from happening? 5 lightning spells on 50,000 dark elixir is kinda unfair, since i have no way to protect my storage :/ I am trying to search for bases, but i go through about 25-30 bases all under 200k resources, any tips on where to farm. Im tryig new base ideas and open to suggestions.
Could someone please politely answer my questions.

the best way not to have loot stolen is simply not to have any at all. If you are between builds, you can spend gold on walls and elexir on troops like Dragon and Pekka.
when someone attacks you, you can revenge. So if someone zaps your DE, you can turn around and if strong enough, 3 star the base. It doesn't always work, and complaints about the ability to zap DE is common; you're not alone.
