Change timing of season bank

Just got my 25 million gold/elixir and 250k DE this morning and spent it all on 1 hero upgrade (insta finished with BoH), 4 building/trap upgrades, and 3 lab upgrades (insta finished 2 of them with BoF and BoS). Last night I raided enough to fill my storages and left them full until I got my season bank so I could do all those lab upgrades. 5 of my builder finished upgrading last night because I timed it so that they'd be done when the season ended, and my lab coincidentally finished at the same time too.

OP, with a little planning do you see how easy it is to spend your season bank? You're not even a gold pass user and you're struggling, which shows that your upgrade strategy does not work no matter how hard you try to convince yourself otherwise.

I kind of hate that rewards drop as cwl is beginning. Nothing really more than that. I always keep my storages maxed. I like being a juicy target. It only takes one attack to steal the loot back anyway...

Didnt even need that much free. 2 builders did 2 xbows on my mini. Book of fighting and spells took some more loot. Warden upgrade (he's still young enough to gem rather than book) and queen upgrade. Healers in the lab. Some walls. All neat and tidy and ready for cwl. Couodnt do much on my main though. No walls, heroes or lab to do. Spent gold easily. Elixir and de overflowing. And cant even be nice and let others loot sitting. Oh well.

I am highly active so I have spent my BOH already because I don’t enjoy this game with important heroes down. Now it’s the start of the cwl and I am already max DE in storage. Lucky for me, I got another BOH through the trader this time so will be ok this time. But it’s dumb that they drop the bank on you at the most uncomfortable moment when people don’t want to spend it.

Yes it’s possible to attack without heroes but I won’t do it as I don’t enjoy it. I doubt you will find me as a juicy target as only DE overflows when I don’t have a BOH because I decided to spend it when DE otherwise overflows anyway mid month. It’s not strategically smart to wait to spend your BOH from 15-30th of every month while you are at maxed DE storage. As I said above, it’s a waste to dump DE on me when I don’t want to spend it. You will find juicy targets after bank come in, even if it were to not coincide with start of cwl.

You sound like the kind of player who will always be against QoL changes because they might benefit others and therefore make you worse off.

Neither of those folks would care about that. They have offered sound advice which would make your life easier and reduce the amount of your loot that you view as lost. You can choose to ignore that good advice if you like but there is no need to question their motives.

I'm surprised this thread is still going. I'm also surprised at some of the misinformation. Perhaps this post from Darian will squash some of the debate:
