Try both and form your own opinion but I believe the poke ball is better.
oh men, going for pings tesla theme park all the way :)
Can somone tell me where to find pokeball
TTP is a better base but too many people use it so it has become too easy to raid. i would suggest using pokeball
Poke all would be better if your looking for good all round coverage
The ttp is actually a better base but it relies on traps because it is a funneling base... since a ton of people use it they know where the traps are... so the traps become worthless... thus, go for pokeball... I used it and only got three starred twice... both tines with hogs in crystal... I did tweek it a little but it is a very good base. Hope this helps :)
Yes and you gave your opinion. Then, when someone gave a different opinion, you commented again with a derogatory tone (I know it looks like a genuine question, but I am quite good at detecting sarcasm or know-it-all attitudes in text), acting like you already knew why your opinion was better and were using Socratic irony like my senior year English teacher or something.
It also irritates me that you comment on every other post like this (there are many) with the same attitude/answer. I realize you probably hold a grudge with our clan system, but that's no reason to bash a design which someone worked quite hard to create. Plus, this design does work quite well since the majority of players don't use the forums and cannot work out a proper attack strategy for it. Now, I'm going to leave this thread since I would prefer it not to be closed and thereby deprive the OP of opinions, if you have further issues then please use the pm system.
So, in essence you are putting words in my mouth saying that i'm acting superior when that is exactly what you are doing. You assume I hold a grudge against your clan system which I do not. You also assume that it was not a genuine question when I asked. In reality, the whole basis of your argument against me is formed on assumption with no facts to support it. Again, you refer to how i'm bashing a design which i'm not. I'm simply pointing out the flaws and suggesting a different base (the pokeball). Even while I was part of DTP I commented and advised againt the use of the tesla theme park which again shows that this has nothing to do with a petty grudge against DTP which you seem to have fabricated.
Wow feisty much guys. Though I do agree that you shouldn't use either. In my experience at least both are easy to crack open, I would recommend designing your own base so when people find it they cant just pull a strategy out of their pocket and win everytime because they have never seen that base before. This forum has got quite a few good base design threads which you could take a peek at. I would link you to my own base design thread but that might make me look arrogant/trying to 'spread myself everywhere' throughout this forums. But if you are interested in making your own I can throw the link in.

Hey tom, how's things?
Since there have been so many threads comparing two designs and you have expressed your opinions more than once on them, it seems excessive to repeat them in every one of these threads, don't u think?
Also, you don't have to defend against every one of Mo's comments, that seems, well, defensive.
Thanks to everyone who expressed their opinion even though half of the thread was about someone always bashing on Pingfao's TTP base. I decided to try to create my own base after many of you guys suggested it. Any help on creating one would be great :) thanks guys, keep it going.
Quite a party we got here! I'm gonna pretend to ignore all the negativities while I give my opinions on the different aspects of this discussion.
First of all, totally agree with Storm (Hi Storm ;)). Creating your own design will always give the best gameplay experience and the most satisfaction, be it successful or not. Copying designs, especially popular ones such as mine (woo my sneaky moment of fame,) will yield diminishing returns as time passes. If it's your first attempt designing a base, I do advise that you borrow a few successful designs, play with them for a few days, watch the replays, then adapt/tweak different features from them to create your own. Good luck!
Pokeball v. TTP. This topic has been brought up countless times on these forums. Both have their pros and cons. Try both and see which one works best for you. Personally, I have ran into TTP's more often than Pokeballs. What does that mean? It means, people are more likely to attack TTP's more effectively, since they have had more experience against it. Go Pokeball! Note that, when the queue is more populated with Pokeballs, people will eventually be experienced against it as well. Choose your designs based on the current metagame!
Onto my favorite part of my reply, TomRapp. I really don't have much time to read the forums anymore. Only time I do is when someone link a thread on Groupme. Ever since your DTP clan ban was enforced, it's almost every week that there's a link in our GM about you giving opinions on TTP. Now, I see that you're trying to be diplomatic with your "Hey Ping, Thanks for making TTP. I farm so many walls from it" comments, but it's basically similar to me saying "Hey TomRapp, thanks for joining iQuit after being banned from DTP. Our clan is so much better without you." C'mon man.
Lastly, I really appreciate everyone who have always supported my work, especially DTP members. Clash on. :)
Yo Ping, hows are things bro ? :D
I see our bases have gotten themselves another thread haha ! :p
In response to this thread,
My advice: Design your own base !
The satisfaction from idea/inspiration, to creation, to testing, to improving, to calling it "Complete" is a VERY satisfying journey that every clasher SHOULD go through :)
But if all else fail, just copy either the ttp or pokeball :p
Haha, happy clashing everybody ! :o
Ping, Jung, it's good to see your designs still getting some hype, a fair way down the track.
On topic, I feel that there have been gameplay additions which were not factored in to these bases, because they dated pre-whatever else. As everyone has pointed out before me, people know these designs more, how to attack, weaknesses, et cetera.
It's always good to have a crack at designing bases and finding out what works for your range and what your motives are at the time. I'm no great base designer but they can hold their own.
OP there is some great info hiding around in Tactics, hopefully you will find the key info you need to create what you want :)
Woo, looks like a party in here! :P
Anyways, ignoring the flaming part of the thread, I must agree with the grand designers, Ping and Junliang.
Make your own base! You know what you want to protect, you know your priorities in base defense.
If you ask me, however, I would honestly say that the two bases are on par. I have used both excessively whilst at TH8, and I was three starred, like twice.
Also, building on what Pingfao said, create your own base! There is a thread named something like "Base designs for dummies", where Pingfao and a DTP member created a TH8 base, and a guide on how to make a successful base design. I think the base was named "The Arrowhead", and to be honest, I would recommend that over TTP and Pokeball any day of the week. (Sorry guys!)
Again though, you know your priorities when it comes to base design.
Good luck!
I am curently using the tesla theme park and it work very well usually only townhall nines with maxed troops get 1-2 storages. I never used the pokeball though so i cant give you any thoughts about it
In case you dont get my private message here is the link you asked for http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...gn-for-Dummies
This is all directed towards townhall 8 but many of the general tips still apply to every townhall. Ill also link you to OJM's vault design guide, because you seemed interested in that, but vaults imo arent effective until townhall 9.
Lemme go find OJM's guide..
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...igning-a-Vault
Found this while looking for OJM's vault design guide:
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ussion-thread? It's actually quite a common idea, though I like to stick to traditional designs.
Heres another thread that might be useful:

Just to spark some ideas.

So heres my two cents for what it's worth. I used both TTP and pokeball for a long time at th8 and my feedback is that the TTP protected my DE better and pokeball protected my gold better. However, both of those designs were built before the trap update and while both guys are a gazillion times better base designers than I am I think the designs are out of date. Your only chance of stopping lvl 6 giants is with maxed teslas and them running over giant bombs.
What I found was the best design by far was an adaptation of the cyclone built by DSCAllDay:

Both r EXTREMELY well thought and made base designs. U can't just make a base and say "this one is good".... That's not how it works. A base design must be tested and 99% of the time there is modifications with it. Now back to the point, which is better? When I got to town hall 8 i was PUMPED because I have been wanting to use pingfaos base. Couple months later, I found out about the Pokeball! I tried it out to and I couldn't make up my mind about which one i was going to use! It's like choosing 100$ in gold or 100$ in silver. But in the end u have to choose one... And I picked..... The Pokeball!!! I choose it because it worked just a tad bit more than the theme park. (Plus i loooooove Pokemon) :) But preferably it's all up to u and ur decisions!
