Make new fair clan wars system thx

I would like to se supercell make a system regarding when wars is started... I se many old engeniered bases.. High th lvl but no defensive buildings... This abuse the way war weight is measured... So a way to counter this could be, bases have to have all buildings built 1 th lvl lower than u currently are.. Example: th11 must have built all th10 buildings to be able to do regular war.
I hope this will be implemented at some point, since it's very frustating to keep meeting these bases in clan wars.

You are either seeing accounts that have remained as they were two years ago, before this change was made, and they have not upgraded their Townhall ever since, or they have not updated their war bases with all their objects and you are getting an advantage.

I still see players that have level 1 of all buildings with maxed troops. I think this is the engineer he’s referring to.

No, I think that's only the engineer you're referring to. The OP, on the hand, was pretty explicit in what he was referring to.

Yep. There are still a few of the old one cannon wonders out there. Many have evolved into the level 1 defense engineers so they can move up. We see them more in cwl than regular wars. Not a lot, but some.

With the algorithm used to determine matches you can usually find out that you're getting matched with engineered lineups because your own clan has either engineered bases or an unusual lineup.

Taking a look at your lineup is where you want to start first.

OP wants engineered bases that haven’t at least placed their level 1 buildings to be excluded from war entirely. It definitely would be encouragement for engineers to move up, but as Eino explained in his GDC presentation (see the general forum for the link), CWL leans on engineers to move up but doesn’t completely remove an entire game mode from them as OP suggests. While engineers can enjoy “gaming” the war weight system in regular war, they will not thrive in CWL, so they will have no choice but to place all their buildings and upgrade them if they truly want to be competitive in the CWL system.

Yes toofinedog that's my thought... And it's regular clan wars I refer to... Cwl not based on war weight so no issue towards that... The problem is that I believe many of the engeniered bases are 2nd or 3rd ect. Accs... So the owner don't care about not getting these accs into cwl... They got main acc fully upgraded for that probably... It's regular clan wars this is issue.. And problem to fix it (slightly) is u have to have built all buildings 1 th lvl lower than ur current th lvl.. Not only Canon lvl1.. But all defense buildings... So a th11 needs to have both infernos n xbows ect on base if acc should be able to join regular clan wars... That's my penny to supercell... Will help a bit towards war weight

Your idea had been discussed years ago along with other ideas. When th12 came out SC decided you cannot upgrade without placing all buildings. They are not going to do what you want now. The post below is more likely the issue you are having.

A th12/13 with level 1 defenses still has a hefty weight. I have one and it's usually in the middle of our th12s. It's obvious SC has really closed the gap.

I never used it to war after about th7, it was purely for fun, donating and training newbies in attacks.

I wanted an extra siege donator in the clan so added the necessary bits. When we need to numbers, it now goes in the roster.

Adding higher defenses won't lift the weight a great deal I suspect and won't cripple it's offensive power but it will make it harder to defeat.

It's almost 6 years old so could have easily been heavily armed by now. It's no shortcut.

So do you want easy stars or not ? Because you're losing more than you gain by asking for compulsory heavy defense structures once a base hits th11 in the current matchmaking.

you don’t have to place the buildings on your war map.

You'll be shooting yourself in the foot, you can never modify your war base, but you can still go to war without defences.

People can still be lopsided by leaving defences at level 1. For whatever reason, I have not seen people do this.

The problems of lopsided engineered bases, and clans full of them, has gone away.

I regularly see what I am pretty sure are ex-lopsided bases. Offensive maxed TH11 bases, with weak walls and defences. They always lose.

This doesn't stop the system from counting the unplaced buildings as war weight.

This loophole was patched a couple of years ago.
