Bored, but don't wanna quit.

After playing for 15 months I have just became somewhat...burnt out with coc. Maybe it's the fact that I have been playing to long and just lost interest. Is it because I would rather be doing other stuff instead of grinding for hours to get over 6 mill gold to upgrade A single building? That being said I am not ready to give up completely on coc yet, and for the time being I will simply login into coc to collect from my collectors.
Details about my base:
Th 10, lvl 109 and 1800 trophies
Maxed camps, collectors, barracks, wiz and Tesla
Typical Army of Giants, healers, wb,arch, barb, balloons and minions

I started at about the same time as you did. I get too occupied by the game sometimes. my suggestion is to find a better strategy to farm that doesnt require you to stay online. well, if you are a leader or something, that's a different story.

I hear you it's crazy the amount to upgrade but that's supercells whole point to get you to buy gems so they profit even more. I mean 4 million for one wall! Just as much as the upgrade for the most important building on every base it's just insane. I would like supercell to at least lower the prices for some of the buildings.

@OP: Its not our job to help you regain interest. If anything, we would like people on the verge of quitting to quit because it means more easy loot.

Just wait till the end of January, Chief Pat States 'You will not be disappointed with the next update'

What is your play style? What tactics do you rely on? What are your typical patterns of playing?


For me I like to push farm to try and earn DE to keep things interesting. I have my overnight armies for devastation and my farming armies for loot. This helps a fair amount as I am flip-flopping tactics enough to keep things interesting.




Try a new method out. I recently went gun-ho on balloonions. At the end of Th8 I ran HoAG armies (Hogs, Archers, and giants) and at the very very end of TH8 I did mass Valkyrie attacks just for something interesting to do.



I guess that is my biggest suggestion, change it up. If you trophy push, farm. If you farm, push for a while. If you use one tactic, use a different one.

If you aren't having fun with the game then take a break. Come back periodically to collect if you want, but don't feel like you HAVE to raid. You should be playing for fun, and if you aren't having fun then walk away. This is a superb time to think about upgrading barracks too!

If you want to keep playing and are just looking for something fresh then try using a different troop composition. Used to raiding with barbarians, archers, and minions (BAM) because you are on all the time? Maybe try archers, giants, and healers. Healer and giant use is vastly different than BAM and requires an entirely new strategy that influences the bases you choose to raid and how you raid them.
