Ok so im a pretty maxed out TH8 and i am really trying to decide whether or not to jump up to TH9 already. All i have left till im officially maxxed out is 2 more teslas and the rest of my skull walls. I dont know if its worth it for me to stick around until im completely finished or should i just save up and jump up to TH9 already?

Move on to TH9 Now.
You can upgrade walls and save for xbows while TH is building. I see the xbows as a great benefit to have now vs the lvl 8 walls.
I would finish the teslas and then go. Lvl 6 teslas are devastating and there are so many more things to do at th9 (xbows) you won't get to them. Then you can go ahead to th9 without maxing walls. Without the bonuses there really isn't that much difference farming at th8 and th9 now.
Go to th9 teslas take 4ever.....
I say time the last tesla upgrades to finish the same time that your TH9 upgrade will finish. In the mean time, farm walls like crazy and make sure your gold storages are full when you hit TH9.
I would never leave my builders or lab empty just waiting on walls or a defense. Missing one upgrade doesn't make your base premature.
I'm in a similar situation. I have about 60 walls left to upgrade, but everything has been maxed, including traps. Personally, I feel like I'm in the homestretch of TH8 and so I'm sticking with it. However, there really is no incentive to stay as the loot bonus/penalty has been eliminated. I guess it's just the psychological feeling of maxing a base...:p

Teslas are increadibly strong. Yes they take time, but you'll be better off with them at TH9 because they are so strong.
In any event, I recently found out you could do Tesla lvl 6 as a TH8 and I got really discouraged, because I know there is no going around it, I'm going to upgrade all 3 of them to lvl 6 before TH9, which will take an extra 12 days each. I was so damn close to being ready to upgrade my TH too! so be it.
The loot penalty is still there. So upgrading to th9 will make raiding th7s 40% less lucrative.Quote:
