Democracy in Clan Leadership.

What if clan members had the ability to choose who the clan leader is?

Some leaders are very terrible, and you can't do anything about that, they come online like twice in a month. Give all the clan war league medal bonuses to their account and whom they want not who deserves it.

How about having a sort of platform where clan members who have been in the clan for for more than sixty days are able to vote for the leader of the clan and maybe it's co-leaders also.

I think that would be a fair way of assigning leadership.

There’s nothing to stop the leader from running this exercise in democracy.

That's the point. You get to kick him/her from the seat, if they do wrong.

Clans are not a democracy and SC have repeatedly stated they won't involve themselves in Clan management issues so this idea is not going to catch on.

If you are in a Clan and not happy with any aspect of it then move on - there is a lot of choice out there.

It's my clan. I run it how I see fit. If members disagree, they can find a new one. If a leader logs into an empty clan, they will learn the error of their ways.

Find a new clan if one doesn't suit your needs.

If you don't like the Leader, leave.

If you want to be Leader, spend 40k Gold.

There should never be any possible way of doing this.

There is process in the game to deal with a leader who just stops playing (leadership is lost after 90 days of inactivity), but there should be no circumstance where the members can forcibly strip the leader of their position.

This is plain dumb idea.. Op if you want to be leader make your own clan spend 40k gold. Clan leader working hard to raise his clan to higher level so he get what he deserve. Also if he is not active more than 3 months(not sure) the leader position will be rotated to the highest trophy member so it's pretty fair

I don't think he understand the concept of a "Leader" if anyone could kick a leader what's the point being a leader?

I've tried to get my clan involved in democratic decision-making, and they didn't care for it. The curse of being a benevolent leader.

They can in a democracy.

But clans never have been democracies. If you want to run yours on a democratic basis, you can of course.
