I noticed a few elusive penny-farthing bikes on some of my neighbours farms but I don't think they are known as penny-farthings in America or across the world.
I was just wondering what do you call them in your own country? They are so named by the British in reference to an old penny and farthing coin which represented the wheels.
The only bikes I see are girls bikes, and thats what they look like to me.
According to wiki he term hi wheeler is sometimes used, although I get the impression from the article that the term penny farthing did spread outside the UK. It does make me wonder what era this farm is supposed to be set in. On the one hand we have penny farthings, steam boats and farm machinery that looks like it comes from a rural life museum. On the other hand we have raspberry mochas and sushi and other fancy new-fangled food.
Ah, I see, haven't come across them in HD, old timely bikes I guess, The Simpsons made them look good for kicking people in the face.
