Some Crazy Loot Statistics

Anyone found any marginally successful loot ranges for th9:confused:

I was around 1.3-1.5 yesterday and tbh I have no idea what was working better, but it wasn't great. During the boost I went up to 1.8 and if I'm being honest, 1.5 and up was just awful, even worse than my 1.4 range. After boost loot has become worse still.

Here's some food for thought: Yesterday I managed to farm 7.3m gold. I was with this able to complete 5 LEGO's. When I added this up and reviewed these figures however, I couldn't understand where I had supposedly gone wrong. I checked again and again and it was then that I realised that I had in fact spent 2.3m gold in searching, at 750 a piece. This to me is pretty absurd and pretty much shows how messed up the new loot system is. At one point I even used 350k searching.

This is not a complaint thread but a thread to share some information that I found surprising, whether you view it this way or not is entirely up to you. I hope to find a more successful range where this absurd amount of nexting is not required to such an extent. NB: I use BAM.

I have heard from a couple of people that they have given up searching for loot in gold and thus have moved to crystal 2 territory. They have reiterated that there are a lot and some quite high loot innactives up there and are generally found within a far more decent amount of nexting. If anyone has any experiences with this range and it's success please let me know.

I understand that nexting is part of the game.. but to this extent, it quite frankly becomes preposterous.

Please share your experiences below & comment on what your thoughts are.

I am a th9. During the 1 gem boost I was getting really good raids at 1350-1550. Although towards the end of the boost I had noticed that things started to cool off. During this past weekend I tried anywhere from 1350-1800 and would find a good raid here and there but nothing that would make me stay at a particular range. I believe (this is based on no actual proof at all just my opinion) that because of the barracks boost the "normal" farming ranges have been farmed out for the moment. I am coming across a ton of inactive bases but they only have 50-70k gold available. My guess is it will be like after an update. Give it a handful of days and things will return to normal.

The problem occurs when you are around others who are able to find lots more loot (through continuous replays) at very similar ranges.

no pain no gain lol. Nothing is easy in cyber or in real life. The ones keep trying will succeed :)

If I had a dime for every time a "loot is bad" thread went up after a maintenance break I'd be a rich man.

I'll preface this by saying that I often BAM, but yesterday I used Barch with two of four rax + spells boosted (Ty SC for the change in rax boosting...now I have something VERY worthwhile to regularly use gems).

i netted 9 nipples and my advice for you using BAM would be to have the time your army cooks in mind while searching. I look for bases with 200k+ but if after a few minutes I find a base where I can get 70-100k with the amount of troops that have cooked in my absence I will take it. 350k on one search is not going to ever be an efficient move. That had to take around twice as long as it would take to cook the amount of troops you would use on a standard raid. I'm even considering running my stopwatch feature on my iPhone next to me while searching....so that I can know precisely when I should abandon my search for great loot and just take something that keeps it ticking over.

as for ranges. I was in Crystal 3 and Gold one for most of the boost and easily netted two levels on AQ and BK...also gold was plentiful. After the update I was a little frustrated up there so tanked down to 1550-1600 and the loot was amazing. What that told me was to be more flexible. I may even try down lower today as you said you find it worse above 1550.

Thats a lot of Nexting.
If you aren't finding loot in your range, change it... I would suggest upward.
If BAM doesn't work for you in higher ranges try changing up your army.
It will take longer to cook, but it may give you more options.

Loot is terrible at Crystal as well. I define terrible as not enough loot to recoup army cost.....and I'm not doing anything crazy. I think my army cost is around 120k. I started to count how many nexts and stopped after 50. That being said I'm in the hole big time before I even find a battle worth fighting. Let's face it, even when you find a good base to attack what are the odds your getting a 3star?

It's not that complicated, if you are losing too much profit to next-ing then you need to be more flexible with your raids. I'm happy to take a base on for 50k gold especially if it's in the first few searched and can be had for 25-30 troops.....

I'm not a TH9, but there's a guy on youtube called KillaLogeFtw who has been posting tons and tons of 700k, 800k, 900k, 1M loot raids on his channel pretty consistently. Loot isn't dead... Just seems like those who can follow the Loot Buffalo Herd prosper more than others.

Issue is you are using bam. This seriously limits the bases you can take on. I personally use a makeup that can take on pretty much any base (yes it does mean raiding less but that suits me since I would rather do one raid a hour and do something else while troops train than have to be glued to my ipad).

It is very rare I push next more than 20 times to find a 300k+ gold raid while in gold leagues ( in crystal and masters probably like you with BAM I have to pass more due to overpowered inferno towers).

Real question is are you passing up good loot because it doesn't suit your army comp and your raid would fail to get it? Or are you missing large chunks of the loot due not being able to get it all?

Also since BAM is a high frequency raid comp it is natural you will have higher than average search costs

I've experimented with all sorts of armies and find that I get on with BAM the best. I find it yields me more per hour.

When searching I often look for anything 150 and up.. But if it's easy enough and it's 100k, yes I'll take it.

BAM can actually hit storages quite well in my experience. The problem was often that full th8's / th7's showing 150k + were not even appearing.

Occasionally, 1 or 2 300k/400k Th9/10's came up, however with BAM this isn't an option, and even with giant armies a couple of spells would have been needed. I find giant armies too slow and used to rely heavily on them, thus why I moved to BAM.

The real problem was that almost every base was 50k or under. I would say 10% was 50k-75k, 5% 75-100 and anything above 100 was very rare, and usually separated between 4 storages with a little in the collectors.

Take note that I was pulling some decent loot, around 1.5m an hour. However net wise this was obviously less. I still considered it a good day in my books, but when you take into account net loot it was less impressive.
