Ringus: An Early-Mid TH9 Farming Hog-Cleansing Design

Looks good Pea! I love how the ring works on hogs! I'm gonna try it out at some point soon.

Here's a dilemma.

Do you feel it would be a waste of maxed or close to maxed teslas to use this base? I'm looking at my three lvl 7 HTs and seeing how powerful they are and how devastating they can be when used to surprise the attacker, is there a way to slightly modify your base, to get more utility out of high level HTs?

Would I be better off adapting a base that puts all 4 HTs in the core surrounding the DE storage (similar to Mavios)? Thoughts?

Despite the gold lost this is a partial success. The balloons split into packs with a tiny bunch heading for the core (quickly crushed by the AD). The other packs follow the ring. Note also... the DE has been placed on the opposite side of the Town Hall. I think this is a mistake. I see the Town Hall as a big shield protecting that side. It probably wouldn't have made a difference here but in some tussles I feel it does.

The reason why i've replaced my DE is because the DE was placed at the side on which both my splash defences are upgrading (mortar and WT). Because of the low defence on that side i thought it would be better to place the DE at the well defended side, but i might be mistaken.

And yes, the ring works great against the balloons. Only Moe was smart enough to wait a little bit with the deploying of the minions. He crushed me, even with x-bows facing upwards. But then again, i've not been TH9 for long and many defences need upgrading. This base still works really good for me. When i'm farming at 1600-1700 i rarely get attacked. Even with full storages many playing skip me apparently, since i can just log off for 2 hours without getting even one attack.

What a funny thing to watch a youtube movie and recognize your own base haha!

That's a good question which I don't feel I could answer with authority because I have no experience of those maxed Teslas. However, the L6 ones I've been using for the last month do put in decent performances. I often see them zapping Wall Breakers.

I have started a few sketches of what I'm going to try once my current 4x14d upgrade wait is over (I'm doing all four HT together). Here are three Ringus style bases which use Teslas in the core...

The core of the second one looks most interesting to me right now. I can't endorse any of these of course, because they are completely untested. My advice would be to try a few things out, see how it goes and adjust accordingly.

Hello! It is was crazy from our side too. Moe is a competent big TH10 farmer so I was really glad the base stood up to his assault and not get completely flattened. Once your defences start getting stronger (especially the X-Bows) it will be a lot more effective.

Yup. I was farming for my last arch tower while Dux' base came up in my match que. Haha. The balloons followed the ring was expected, a couple went into the core. Having all these ADs inside the core, balloons have a very low chance to survive in there.. Wizard towers would've definitely stopped my minions by couple hits.

The low level gold storage was a weakness. Attacking from the opposite side gave me a bigger chance to access the other 2 gold storages (on top right and bottom left). A maxed gold storage would mean that I would get around 140k only, leaving around 50 k on the table.

I waited a bit before deploying all my minions because I didn't want them to go merry go round haha. I didn't want them following the outmost ring (barracks, camps, collectors and storages), instead I wanted them in the core, taking yo' money!

Wow what a coincidence! Anyway great design! I'll be using this base whenIi max th8 (predicting middle of next month) and move on to th9. Good luck and keep us posted.

thanks for the pic of your bases. I am by no means an expert but would having the telsas and wiz towers in the centre be a a waste as they don't have the range to hit the circling hogs?

i have made a version using your second base plan. Would you let me know what you think. I'm testing it out now and will give you feedback when I can.
