[Important] Clan Wars or TH11?

Maybe its because I'm older, or maybe I've been around here a long time.

Before I start asking for another town hall level, I would like substantial content, such as:

• Clan wars
• Improved loot - real new loot in the form of increased production for pumps and mines (even add new levels or more pumps and mines), new loot from goblin maps, increased loot from leagues!
• Quests - these can be monthly, weekly or even daily with different hardness levels
• New goblin maps, have our community design some for de troops and new maps just to give us something else to do
• More clan tools, like co leaders, more clan messages between members etc
• More communication in game to enable players to stay in touch
• a global chat for forumers - because as crazy as it maybe, but despite our differences, we all like each other and dont want the convo to end
• Increase clan size to 100
• Improve leagues, lets have some interaction between league players or some incentive to be top of your league - I also believe you can add more new loot by increasing league bonus

Its been long overdue, so please vote in the affirmative and show SC that you want substantiative content before another town hall level is added!

If these two features are implemented in the future, I would prefer Clan Wars as the first priority,
because new upgrades were added to Town Hall level 10, not too long ago.

With adding a new Townhall it wouldn't effect anyone but th 9s or 10s but with new clan aspects it would involve everyone so obviously Clan wars.

Clan wars of course!

Imagine how much will the lvl 12 walls cost be if they release TH11

I have my doubts about the clan wars in general but...
TH11 is most likely addition to the game.

What I would prefer to see is more loot, so TH1-10 would all see the same great loots and be able to progress in the game. Also, something different to do like a single player campaign. Yet I doubt we see any of that as the money lies in TH11.

I'm still th8 so this would be awesome!! Loot loot loot!

I personally would prefer TH11 to be released.

I'd rather see clan wars over TH11. Even if its simply declare war, match with some clans, profit or not, doesn't need to be epic but it adds something new beyond more levels.

Simple.....the ability to choose who to raid (with a time limiter so you can't continuously hit someone)

I also don't see how a clan war would work without this option

but they will never implement it because this is a fairly soft game

Quests is what i want the most.

I'd like to see times reduced. With the new inferno towers in particular even weaker bases are now starting to require more spells and heroes are becoming mandatory to stand a chance. Waiting 3 hours between raids is not fun so would like to see something done with spells and hero regen times.

As for the two mentioned.

I don't want clan wars because it would just end up being an auction like in other games and they would require too much time sitting on an iPad rather than logging in as it suits.

I don't want th11 since it would mean better defenses meaning higher cost and time training for raids, plus new upgrades will be very expensive

Personally clan wars because th 11 is just more things to buy and get. Clan Wars for me!

(I know clan wars in other games).
I mean, I personally see no need and no possibility on how to implement clanwars (like I know them from first person shooters) in coc, so maybe there's a summary on what eactly is meant by it, so that I can understand ?

It's an idea of clans battling together and as it is so vague, everyone thinks quite differently what it means but still agree it's a great idea, even if their real ideas would be miles apart.

Unfortunatly supercells goal doesn't seem to be optimising gameplay, but more optimising profit, so i'm afraid that we will see th.11 before anything else (or instead of).

Would love it though if they started adding more stuff to the gameplay, tournaments, war, achivements, etc. and actually made a plan about how this game should develope within a more long term goal, rather than just squeeze it for short term profit and new level this and that updates.

Clan improvements should be priority #1 :)

Just add more loot so I can improve faster.
A townhall 11 can be interesting too (but not really an issue right now since I'm only mid TH8).

And I have really no interest whatsoever in clanwars. I would consider them a waste of my time.

Don't get me wrong with that but see when you have maxed out your defences and all you can upgrade are your walls for example reglia remix came to my clan and stayed for a good but left, because he had stopped playing he stopped play at lvl 114 or around that with th9 he was max bar his walls which i think where mostly 9 with a few 10 but he left to play ****** ***** he played it because the loot was amazing and the was there own version if "clan wars" in my opinion this will happen to more and more people and the community may just fall apart competly (Which I really don't want to happen) so I think clan wars needs to be implmented soon!!

It can be confusing since, I believe, our village is a clan and then we have a clan castle and join a clan of players. When people want clan wars they want the player group to fight as a whole vs other groups somehow. Details of how it could work are varied, SC seems to be excited as anyone about the concept but haven't come up with a way they'd like it.

As someone that has always played the game 1 or 2 TH levels below the highest, until two weeks ago when I made it to TH10, I actually welcome TH11 and at the same time this would probably improve the loot for me.

Supercell really needs to re-think durations and costs though. Not sure people will be keen to receive 21 day build times.

I've no time for extra single player non-sense, haven't even bothered to finish the current static Goblin levels.

Clan Wars would only appeal to me on the odd occasion that we do Forum Competitions using it. I wouldn't use it normally with my current small clan.

sorry to use it against you but are point is its CLASH of clans but yet there is no CLASHING so it's more clans right now which even the clans need updating so really it could be re named walls because you spend most of your time farming for walls. Looks like clash is being renamed -farming for walls- the new name :)

That's not entirely true. Your village itself is considerd to be a clan too, so when you attack another village (clan) that is a clash of clans ;)

This bothers me a lot, there's real truth in your words that "the money lies in TH11". For once, I fervantly wish you were wrong, that's partly the reason why I wanted to create this poll - to send a clear and strong message to SC that their player base wants something more than the endless grind of farming for troop/building upgrades.

Quite frankly, with the introduction of the loot algorithm, I am losing faith in SC - their timing just before xmas seems very commercially driven.

I am sure, I am not alone when I say "I'm bored with farming and trophy pushes - I want more!"

that's the thing though, the only benefit of being in a clan is to get your castle filled and the trophy tourny which has no impact on like 99% of people that play

I have been playing a base building browser MMO game for years which will go unamed that is completely text based with no fancy graphics that has clan based gameplay a hundred times better than this game.

Let's be honest, the only thing we KNOW is coming, that can possibly shake up the game is the 5 "Coming Soon!" messages in the Dark Barracks.

How "soon" is "coming soon!" we'll never know but at least this is coming.

If this game is to have the 10 year life span that ScubaSteve mentioned then TH11 will be here at some point. No ifs, ands, or butts!

I Love Masterminds quests idea.. kudos to him and with a few tweaks to enable supercell to integrate it into the game would be awesome.

Also back when I was fresh to the game with no idea of farming the goblins and trophy hunting was what the game was about.. i completed all the campaign with relative ease and then hit a wall with trophies before finding out about farming which has been my clashing experience ever since as per most clashers...

Bring back this life as a low level noob, giving up incentives to protect out town hall, fight for trophies and use the idea of the goblins attacking us, the game would really become something special if they could!

If all of those "coming soon" troops will cost more/higher training time than witch/golem, then they will only affect trophy hunter, minions/hogs are enough for farmer.

Before we get ten years of updates (more troops, buildings and TH's), I just want more content. Not the promise of more content, I want them to ACTUALLY deliver on the 'fun' they promised zach last year!

I play at least 4 hours a day..

I agree with the sentiments that there needs to be more content to keep the game fresh and so that it doesnt just become a grind.

I do think that TH11 will be needed at some point, and Im never really clear on what exactly people mean when they shout clan wars, if its not implemented properly it could ruin the game i guess.. but the quest ideas would be great and definitely more loot needs to be introduced somehow to stabilise it

Yes to all of the above. Except maybe the clan size increase, not sure if that would be amazing or horrible in a clan where everyone has pretty much the same timezone.

Think we've all been waiting long enough for SC to introduce some new content like you wrote above. I don't understand why they haven't, it can only improve the game and make people want to play more.

On a more serious note, Th11 is what Supercell wants to increase the lifespan of a dead/boring/not enjoyable/etc game anymore. If Supercell's Staff were actually "playing" the game for over a year, they would have quit by now.

What i want? Clan wars/Loot/More enjoyable content.

What I want most at this stage is more realistic league bonuses, to make it possible to compete for trophies and still upgrade troops, buildings and heroes. While farming at lower levels continues to be the most effective way of earning loot, people will carry on doing it rather than working their way up the leagues. So, I would:

• Double the league bonuses
• award a % of league bonus for a successful defence (or refund costs)
• reduce the % of loot available from collectors
• increase the loot stored in the Town Hall
• reduce the shield available for a Town Hall snipe
• halve the search costs
• Also, Introduce a hidden (1x1) lightning conductor building, with an upgradeable effective radius

You should be able to tell by my signature that I am a farmer too. I don't want to eliminate farming - I want them to make it more interesting and more aligned to the other aspects of the game. Let's face it, we farm because it is the most effective way of acquiring loot without great expense, not because we are farmers on principle. If the most effective way of getting loot was to push for trophies, then we would do that instead, and likely have more fun and feel a greater sense of achievement in the process.

TH11!! Its time.

I see no connection between push for resources and having fun.

I doubt they would add a new lvl of walls. It would infuriate players...

Find away to add some loot! Its bad enough, and with TH 11 will just be more loot penalties

Good thread Tiny and I hope that the people choosing to post can stay on topic.

Without going into too much detail, what I want to see most of all above everything else is a clan village, mainly because I'm sure it wouldn't ruin the game and could be added by SC without too much difficulty, I hope.

Why I'd like to see it and how it would fit into the current game
The village would be just the same as a normal players village with a few exceptions, some of which I'll quickly go though now.
Firstly it would have no army camps or barracks, all the troops for attacks would come from troop donated by the villages clan members. Because of this and secondly the clan village would have a large clan castle that can be increased with each Th upgrade. Let say just to put a figure to it 50 capacity at Th1 and it can be upgraded to 240 capacity by Th10, each player can donate a maximum of 20 spaces just like the donations we have now between players. Thirdly SC would create a new league that works exactly the same as the current one except just for the clan villages. Fourthly the villages cc troops will be used to attack or defend from other clan villages (not anything different from normal cc play). Oh yeah and it would be run by the clan leader who also nominates the elder to take control of it for matchmaking. Finally the post raid replay is show automatically once the battle is over.

If SC gave us the village they could do just about anything else to the game and I would still play forever, it would be so good because finally clans would clash, both internally and externally.

There would be a 1 hour wait before players can donate to the village cc once they have donated, this time could of course be gemmed to allow for quicker donating. Just thought I'd add this feature or SC would never do this thing, it is a business at the end of the day.

TH11 is guaranteed money.

Clan Wars are not, unless it's pay-to-win, in which case everyone will hate it.

I think SC should focus on trying to make the leagues more engaging to participate in.

Then you can have your direct PVP of a sort, and also the infrastructure is already in place.

Although I'm not sure how SC could make the leagues fair and still encourage gemmers to do their thing.

The two things I want more than anything else are clan wars and clan alliances.

Honestly, a game named Clash of Clans should have more emphasis on clans.
And then finally we can have clans clashing!

Clan Wars should be like a World Cup football shootout.

Five players from each clan get a chance to attack over several days. Replays and score updates (Leading 2-1) shared on the clan chat. In this manner, you could implement head-to-head matches or full-fledged tournaments.

Like a shootout, clans could select which players will go 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. My initial thought is the Player 1 from Clan A would attack Player 1 from Clan B, Player 1 from Clan B attacks Player 1 from Clan A, and so on down the line. This would avoid more complexity from having to determine a defensive order. Could set a number of stars or % damage to count as a "goal". Could add these up for each clan as tie breakers.

Would not affect individual trophies or resources or otherwise harm the primary game. Would save additional stats: each individual's record in shootouts, both "goals" scored (attacks won) and "goals" denied (defense won), their team record of the shootouts they participated in, and any tournament victories they participated in. The clan would also have separate stats: overall shootout record (matches won/loss), tournament victories.

Disclaimer: Unless Supercell has a better idea in place of course!

A good form of clan wars, loot increase and/or a substantial game change. I am not one for the daily quests as in previous games they felt more like chores, if they implement this, I would only hope for monthly at least. The thing I am really hoping for in Clan Wars is no matter what style they choose, please, please, PLEASE bypass a shield or online status.

TH11 would be a really stupid update. The only thing I would enjoy is seeing what the new things are and looking at what they look like, but since I can't use them and won't be able to for a long, long while, it would get old fast.

I would like something for more then just TH10's. If new troops and buildings can go in for TH7+, that would be fun for everyone. The lower TH's would have an easier goal then TH11 for brand new things.

But it seems like TH11 will come instead.

First of all let me begin by saying that I don't really want TH11 (yet) mainly because with the recent elimination of the loot bonus for attacking higher THs there is really no good incentive for me, as a TH9, to attack a TH11 with whatever fancy new defenses they decide to add for it.

Not really sure why anybody (obviously excluding the gemmers who want to compete on the leaderboards) would want to be fully maxed out. For me the core of this game is the farming and slowly upgrading your base. I still have a pretty long journey ahead of me as is, however I would hope that by the time I finally do max my TH10 that they would have added a TH11, otherwise I would probably get bored of trophy hunting pretty quick, and then what?

We need more loot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New single player missions would be nice.

I really do not want clan wars, and here's why:

If you already belong to a "good" clan, they're going to expect pretty good results from you each war. If the wars are 12 hours (like they are in another game that I won't mention... :P), and your clan wars 12 hours a day, you have to put in some serious effort to get the "war point" (or whatever measurement they'll use) quota. I play Samurai Siege as well as this and I just ended up quitting my alliance to join one where I could farm in peace because I just cannot devote 5 hours a day just on winning battles... Also, on top of this constant trophy push time, I need to progress on my base, and pushing this often will drain my res making it ever the more harder.

I'd rather have TH11 than clan wars, but I feel like this should be delayed a little while longer. Sure, there are some people maxing out their bases now. But they've either A: Been playing since the start of the game. or B: gemmed their way there (seriously, as TH8 with 230GG, I have more gold looted than so many of the top 200 -_-). The vast majority of the players (which aren't represented as much on the forums, I see a lot of TH10's, max TH9's) are still far off from maxing TH10. Putting in yet another town hall would be kind of demoralizing, as well as possibly detrimental to the loot (TH10's move down in trophies to avoid their bases being steamrolled by TH11's, as a result TH9's cry on the forums, in turn pick on TH8's... etc).

Soooo, I guess my vote is for more loot, maybe a level 12/13 mine? I dunno, some kind of stimulus for the Clashconomy would be well in order.

They already said they are working on clan wars, no point pestering them about it. I'd like to see more advanced clan settings, and I'd like to see more goblin maps. I also am wanting th11 to be released soon, as th10 is comming to a close as in, only teslas and de barracks are left to upgrade (yes golem was th8, witch th9, ??? Th10) with maybe lvl 6 cc. Th10 has been released almost for a year and th9 was released 2012 in October. Its time for a new th imo, the better features such as clan wars and more goblin maps have not been ruled out and they even tell us they are working on them but people still constantly ask, like thats gonna make them work faster.....

Before clash, I played a mmo game, all building troop levels were limited to 10. There was no limit on storage levels. Like clash, the game was free. Players could choose to buy resources rather than farm them from goblin cities (which regenerated res every 8hrs). Players could also buy shields and various power ups.

Hero's had unlimited ability, and there was an option to steal the hero if its loyalty dropped.

Clans comprised of 100 members and leader and co leader could declare war.

A player could be attacked repeatedly untilthey truced or popped a shield. There was also an option to purchase a 4wk shield, so you could go on vacation.

You could email any player in game as well as whisper to them.

I played that game for 2 years before I got bored.

Why dont I play that game now? Too many ppl using bots to farm for resources because the game developer refused to cap army size.

My point being, players will pay to play just for the glory of being best at battles won, loot stollen, hero's stollen etc - dont limit this game to endless upgrades

Depending on how SC implements clan wars, they could make it so that is where the money is. Especially if it benefits all clans. It might even bring more money from TH10s getting ready to have a clan war. SC might make paying IRL money not beneficial but kind of helpful but not go overboard with a pay-to-win aspect turning people off of it.

In a previous game I played, this happened quite a bit. This game was not every player vs player though. These were for PvP (ironically) because they needed money to strip people of every dime they had. This generally took a whole clan. His idea isn't dumb though. People might have shields or be online. Someone might even attack them before the other one gets the name.

Oh one more thing, i dislike clan wars because it will take up too much of my time and it will be a feature that requires you to play 8 hr sessions in order to not lose to the other clan.

Agreed- the last update encouraged activity no need to make people play in hour or more long sessions to make the game viable.

Youve made an assumption about what clan wars are - perhaps you should consider what you want them to be?

100 people in a clan is too big. 55 or 60 would be fine.

More loot please!!! Although the lack of the Clans Clashing is a problem, CoC is loosing a lot of players due to the lack of loot, and something has to be done about this.
