Smelter bragging moment of the day

5 Smelters and mine completely finished and in production. Barely starting level 25 now. Ready to hear my secret in saving and making the most in getting coins? Before reaching level 24, I sold ALL tools except axes and saws. In the newspaper, bought anything at low prices then resell in my shop at max prices and then opening the broken mystery boxes for free goodies. I didn't buy any coins, ain't got extra cash for that. They were all earned on my own. Yes took awhile to finish. Patience is a Virtue. Living on a real farm combined with my business knowledge, helps me playing hay day.

Congratulations. It's always a great feeling when you accomplish something in this game. When I get a max star I am doing the happy dance as it means less time to produce. Gotta love that.

Just out of curiosity, why did you strive so hard to buy all smelters and open the mine at your level? I only have 4 smelters and have a tough time keeping them busy producing. I hate it when a machine is sitting idle. A platinum bar takes about 14 hours to produce a bar and Gold bars take 10.5, silver bars approx. 7 hours. You need shovels, dynamite and TNT to mine the ore. I find it very difficult to get these items and I am at level 61. What's your secret, please share :o

One of the things I told my daughter-in-law when she started playing was amass money. Leave off on unnecessary things and make tons of money because of how much it costs to buy machines and to open all queues on the machines you need the most of. (sugar & dairy). Since she had a little advice from me she surpassed me in levels and money and had only been playing a few months. Sigh....lol.

I leveled up fast when I started, thinking this was the way to go. Then it became a struggle to make enough money to buy the machines when they came out. Obviously I found a balance later on as I am on level 61 - just a few XP away from level 62. I was playing a long time before I found this forum and the great tips. Gotta love that.

Its the OCD in me, on my farm I try to get everything set by the next level. Every farm you visit, tap the mystery box. If it locked, tap outside of the folder so it's still sitting on ground. When one opens go to your farm and tap the mystery box. It will stay locked. It will follow you every farm. Sometimes, they're hiding very well behind anything and trees. Keep your eye out for the sparkles and rocks around the box. It's random when they open. It's a good way to get free goodies.

I had no desire for the mine or smelters. I waited until somewhere in the 40's before opening the mine. I got five smelters too, but wish I had less now. I didn't fix my dock until around 26. By the time I got all that I still had a healthy chunk of change.

I was glad to see you didn't leave yourself penniless.

Thanks a bunch. My farm looks naked without all five and using the bars for the green orders. 2 tips also that's helpful is zooming in to get a better sight of where the box is. I'm waiting on decorations when either I get all production machines or lots and lots of money. When starting hay day, i searched and found a glossary of everything hay day and use it as a guide.

I'm also interested I how you are keeping all five smelters in constant operation. At level 70, I also only have four and wish I had less because even though I am assiduous in seeking out mining tools, I can never amass enough to keep them all occupied, especially since achieving the third mastery and everything is finished more quickly. Are you constantly sending Tom for shovels.? What's your secret?

Congratulations!! Like you, I have all 5 smelters and keep them running continuously because I am a mining fool and rarely keep any of the mining tools on hand except shovels (helps with barn space). I only bought three at first and rather rashly opened up extra slots, but then I decided that if they were available to me, I wanted them, and that's when I bought the remaining two and they have only 3 slots in their queues. It's MY OCD kicking in that I need to keep all those slots full, so those little smelters get a huge workout and I achieved full mastery of them pretty quickly, which I'm betting you will too. My trick with the smelters is to have two for silver, two for gold and one for platinum. I'm thinking of switching a third one to silver since both the bracelets and necklaces need 2 silver bars which would allow me to harvest more silver at a time. They only need one gold bar each, and I tend to pile up the gold bars much more quickly than I do silver, hence the possible change.

Congratulations again on being such a savvy farmer! I don't farm in real life, but I've always had a knack for saving money, so that translates well into this game because I always have plenty of money for each new machine. (Today I leveled up to the salad maker and had no problem paying for it.)

Wow! All 5 smelters by level 25... This is an amazing accomplishment, congratulations! I got my 5th just a few levels ago, 40 or so? Forget what level. But then i learned how to earn money ahead of my level only at level 37 and finally got the visitors event to bring in lots of coin the last time we had it.... I too love it when I can keep all 5 working tho usually need Tom's help to do it. Now I throw in a tool whenever I get it. Seems to keep things going. :) only 2000 or so hrs away from full mastery! :rolleyes::D
