Perfect - Thank You SC.
4 hours is way too long, not everyone is able to play 24/7. 5 gems for 1 hour boost would be much better in my opinion.
Really? The boost is too long? That's not a serious complaint, is it?
Don't know why people think this is a good change. The way I do the math it's a blatant steal. It used to be 1 gem for 45 minutes, it's now 20 gems for 4 hours.... by my reckoning, there are less than 6 45 minute increments in 4 hours. So the price has gone from 6 gems for 4.5 hours to 20 gems for 4 hours... in addition, I generally boost multiple barracks, and I only play for 2 (occasionally 3) boosts. So the cost has gone from about 6 gems for an hour and a half to two hours to 40-60 gems (depending on how many barracks I boost). I'm willing to purchase the occasional gem pack, but not pump tons of $$$ into this game.
There's no way I'm going to pay that kind of price, and frankly sitting around watching my belly button lint grow while troops build is no fun. This pretty much kills farming, since I'm going to get at max 3 raids in during an evening's play time, instead of the approx 20-30 I used to be able to. Additionally it'll take so long to accumulate resources, that the chances of achieving upgrades in a reasonable time frame are gone. Now it's likely I'll be raided while waiting for the army to grow (because I'll have lots of loot and will be an attractive target) - I'm not going to sit here and watch the screen when nothing is happening just to prevent being raided (I got better things to do).
Thanks for killing the game SuperCell... unless this changes, I'm probably gone. You'll probably keep insane gamers, who are willing to pump endless money into it, but at the expense of the casual one who just wants to have fun. Don't think this is an effective business decision, there are more casual gamers than over the top ones.
I REALLY don't get how people can say 4 hours is too long.
I may be going out on a limb here, but I don't think it says anywhere you HAVE to play the ENTIRE boost time. Wouldn't you rather the boost too long than too short?
Complain all you want, but nonetheless, this is without a doubt an improvement. 25 gems for 45 minutes to 20 gems for a time much greater than 45 minutes.
I personally plan to use then occasionally and I do indeed intend to take breaks during a 4 hour boost.
Oh, and if you're a person who's all about not wasting money, then perhaps if you need a break or simply can't commit 4 hours to this game, maybe make a bigger army during the time of the boost you can't commit too. (Make dragons/wizards etc).
Oh and thank you Supercell!
