The fun of plant-watering - what makes you smile?

I'm at risk of hijacking Fibuscus's thread about farm styles, so I thought I'd start a new one. :)

I already mentioned that I love hunting around for well-hidden trees and bushes on other farms, and I find it so satisfying when you spot the top of a tree jumping up and down.

Then there's people watering your trees when you haven't quite finished clearing or flagging them yet. If it's someone who habitually helps me out, I'm shouting "Wait! There'll be more in a second!" at the phone. But if it's that s0d who only ever flags sugar and dairy boats (not a forum user I might add) I'm going "Ha! You could have had so many more... mwa ha ha ha ha ha..."

I posted in another thread about how I, too, LOVE looking for the hidden trees. It's like finding that elusive puzzle piece and none other will do until THAT one is found (and I do love working a good, 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle). Some trees are easy to find, some not so much, but I love watering all that I can find. It's so satisfying!! There are enough people out there who have the patience to keep looking, so I flag mine where they stand, regardless of how hidden they are, though I might move them a bit to be ABLE to flag them, especially those parked near a structure. :)

And here I was thinking I was helping the helper by moving all my dried-up trees/shrubs to one easy central spot!
Figured it was less stressful and time consuming for the helper, and none would get missed.

Now I see a fair few enjoy the hunt.

Whats a half-dead tree supposed to do? :confused:

Maybe I can keep one stashed for those who truly dare!

Yes! Except it's more fun than jigsaws, because each one comes with the possibility of a reward :)

I think what stopped me moving them out was noticing that they're animated when they need watering, so you don't actually need to be able to see the flag - you just need to spot the jiggling :D

You just do what pleases you best, Sweetie, and the trees will get watered no matter what. I promise. :)

It would seem I follow the Donasta school of planting. I will stop,the practice now tho as it seems a waste of time. I see them doing me a favour so i should make it easy, but thats not entirely true, so happy hunting

It's funny - I started out thinking the waterers were doing the favour, but now I see it differently - I feel like people with trees to water are doing me the favour

I see a whole subculture coming on - games of hunt the tree. Gangs of farmers tapping every corner of a farm trying to get rid of that stubborn help flag :D

Same here. I tried putting the help flag out the first time a tree died out of sheer curiosity. I had no idea what it did. It was watered immediately, and I felt kind of bad. Someone did me a favor, and I had no way to reciprocate.
So for a long time, I never used the flags again. Just cut down the tree.

Similarly, I was hesitant to water other people's trees, because I wasn't sure what it cost. (Coins? Stars?)

Eventually I clicked on the other mailbox (with the catalog), and realized what was going on.
