What's your farm style?

We like space too -- but mostly because we like to change our field art, write messages, make pictures, etc with our fields. That takes space! But sometimes we like to spread things out -- so we compact our fields and move the trees around. That is where we are now.

Other times we like to get all our tacky stuff out of storage and do something with it -- make a wedding chapel or a New Year's party or a Forest O'Surprise.

What is happening on our farm varies with the phases of the moon and what's going on with us -- and our name changes a lot too. So we just have fun with it -- this is an organic farm that grows and changes :)

It's a sad state of affairs when some of the high points of your day are when you whizz over to someone's dock and there's NO HELP CRATE there! Trees! Quick, hunt the trees!!!

I used to move my watering near to the dock to make life easier for people, but now I leave them where they are.

I'm sure my farm could be classified as "busy," and I'm quite fine with that. I've tried to pattern it after an English cottage garden which contains, flowers, fruits, veggies, a few decorations, some green space to give the eye a rest, and some places for the farmer and guests to sit down and have a cup of tea. I've hidden my unattractive sauce machine and will no doubt hide any future machines if they don't suit my aesthetic. Who knows, I may even take to hiding one or two of the less attractive machines that I already own, such as the cake or pie ovens. I've built a farm that I would love to jump into. There are so many different farm styles out there. I don't do "neat and orderly," but I don't like random chaos either, both of which I see aplenty. My favorite farms to visit are picturesque and seem to tell a story. I have started adding evergreens because they punctuate all of the fruit trees so beautifully and create an entirely different feel. In fact, my own garden is very similar. So is my house.

So feel free to judge me as "busy." I call it cozy. Different strokes for different folks! :)

Shealie, your farm is one of my favorite ones! Took me awhile to spot the sauce maker. At first I thought maybe you don't have it all, but then I found it :D

Awww...thank you!!! I just couldn't see adding it to the already too-many machines that are bunched together, and there's really no need to be able to actually see it anyway, so I thought fine, I'll hide it. I don't like the look of all those machines so close to each other, though it helps with the harvesting. I've half hidden the garish pink candy machine and am thiiiis close to moving the cake and pie machines. A pine tree or two would do the trick. :D

Right now my farm is mostly functional with very little decoration. I don't like it to look cluttered, but the main reason for not so many decorations is that I figured I'd wait until after I have all my machines and have so many coins that I don't know what to do with them, lol. Then I'll be able to buy whatever I want as far as decoration.
