I Have a New Farm...And I Don't Like It!

I got my husband an android tablet for Christmas, it's kinda cool. But, my husband is gone 18 hours of the day, six days a week, so it's rare that he gets to use it. I've known that Hay Day was available for Android, so I bit the bullet a few days ago and got it. Talk about a shock to the system. I am currently in the fifties on the iPad, and let me tell ya, starting over was beyond weird. I don't have Facebook, so I can't get any neighbors, and Lord knows I love mine on the iPad. I'm only at Level 10, and cannot help anyone. I cannot figure out how on earth I've made it as far as I have on the iPad, because leveling up from the beginning is a pain. Geez. I don't even have enough money for the popcorn machine, and I'm just all around not enjoying it. Yet, I can get on my iPad farm and get a couple thousand XP in no time, lol. It's just crazy. I've even considered making a "fake" Facebook just to be able to make friends, lol. It's absurd. All those trees, a broken down dock, sealed off mine and rickety fishing boat make me sad. I obviously need a life, lol. The main reason I did it was because I wanted to see how long it would take me to catch up to my original farm, and from the looks of it, it's gone be a LONG time.

Has anyone else done this, and been shocked? lol

Oooh, I'd hate to have to start again. I've only been farming since just before Halloween so I can remember how hard it was to make any money. Always skint, could never buy machines when they were available, then when you could it totally wiped out the coin balance. Ugh!

Mind you, I've gone up to level 56 this evening and the 150,000 price tag of the sushi machine hurts!

Would make a fake fb account. I have fb but I mad a fake one for hayday just incase I need it. My husband uses an android and I use his farm for my storage since he didn't care for the game. Guess its a win, win for me.

I would LOVE to be able to start over because I would do things a lot differently. It's the curse of "if I only knew then what I know now". However, I don't know anything about the android so that's a different story. I keep thinking I should have an ipad to have the second farm but I can't justify spending money on one just to play Hay Day.

As it turns out, I no longer play Hay Day as much as I used to. Since Christmas I am barely on my farm. I keep meticulous track of what I produce with my machines and the diamonds I spend and my spreadsheet is bare! I'm almost to level 61 and feel so bored. Not even the machines that I still haven't got yet thrill me. I'd hoped we'd get land expansion again or something with the last update because I did enjoy decorating my farm, but there is no room to do anything cool. I myself don't like the farms that are packed. I would rather have a nice clean organized farm that is visually pleasing to my eye.

I can see myself saying goodbye to my farm soon if things continue to bore me and maybe checking back once in a while to see what's going on. A new farm would be a new challenge, but right now there is nothing keeping me playing much anymore.

Oh well, maybe something will come along in the next update soon.

My husband started his farm at Christmas time 2013. I have been playing since that time in 2012. It has been fun to see a new farm again and to remember how it used to be, tho he can run an ad every five minutes; it was half an hour for me. I enjoy watching how he handles the dilemma of no money but needing lots of things, no barn and silo space but can't find or afford upgrade materials. It was engaging back when, solving the problems.

i still enjoy playing, but wish we had more space and something special to strive for. I would not want to lose this farm and start over. Way too much effort has gone into it. I just hope new challenges await (not being broke again, or continually out of space--we have done that already). Something different.

I'm getting a Nexus 7 tablet this week, and am looking forward to starting over with a new farm. Because, like someone said, if I knew then what I know now...

In particular, I want to keep some of the trees and swamps, instead of clearing them all. (I kind of wanted to keep some with my first farm, and did for awhile, but eventually cleared all my land just to use up the saws and axes to make room in my barn.)

I'd also like to hold back on some things. The first time, I got all the machines and max animals as soon as I could. The sheep and pigs seem kinda useless. You can buy all the bacon and wool you want in DD.

I'll probably hold off repairing the boat ramp and boat, too, since filling boats and fishing aren't my favorite things to do.

And yeah, it's occurred to me that I could use the second farm as storage for the first, and also use it to make sugar and dairy for my first farm.

I started a new one on my husband's tablet - I don't think I'm going to get far lol
I far appreciate my old account much better!

I started a new farm on my Android last week (my original farm is on my iPad) just out of curiosity, to see if I could do better now I know more or less what I'm doing. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep it up though - one farm is plenty to keep you on your toes never mind two!

I love how different people view things totally differently .

Im at level 69 and I've got absolutely everything ! All the machines,all the land ,the BRT, god I've even got the elusive PEARL and I'm a millionaire :cool: Would I love to start all over again ? Too right I would !!!!!!!!!:cool:

My daughter got her farm on Christmas Day & it gave me such a buzz .
She even let me paint the the barn ! I was so more excited than she was.
Unfortunately ( for me )she's a very independent young teenager who wants to do everything for herself & can't be told anything, basically she knows it all. Hmmm don't know where she gets that from :p
She now just a few XP's away from lv 24 & done most if it with no help or advice from me .

I loved the old days on my farm, milking & feeding 1 cow at a time as my barn was so small & so full, searching for that axe to chop that dead berry bush down ( can't bear dead wood on my farm).Looking for people in the DD who were selling thing cheap so I could buy it, resell and make a profit. That's how I made my money in the early days.

I know people have said how stressful they found it looking for LEMS to expand their land . This used to be my favourite part of the game, it gave me such a massive buzz ,frantically searching through the DD & finally finding that last bolt I needed. I was elated when I'd expanded my last piece of land and yet also gutted that I wouldn't experience that buzz anymore.
The excitement of buying my ice cream maker and selling my very first ice cream at 172 coins I thought WOW that's a lot of money, now I can sell one seafood salad at 763 coins & when I put the ice cream up for sale I think " hmm I'm sure they used to be a lot more money ".

I didn't find this forum until I was at lv 50 -55 & had no FB friends ( and still don't ) , basically I farmed alone and without any help or supports . I've enjoyed and embraced every step I've taken on my farm & even more so since joining the forum.

To me my farming reflects my life.... I love getting older every day......because while ever I'm getting older I'm still ALIVE:cool:

Do I wish I was a millionaire in real life ? Of course I do , who wouldn't ! But it certainly doesn't stop me from being happy with what I've got right now :cool:
As for my farm, I enjoy it as much now as I did when I started, the only difference is that I have some wonderful forum friends to share it with:cool:
