I tend to put my mines on the outside and my air seeking mines on the inside
Simple. Place it on.. ( as bluff)
1. area where air defense is far
2. place 1 of your air defense outside or beside outer wall together with 2 or 3 air traps. Once your air defense has been easily destroyed by giants or any troops. Air trap will be activated once healer or any flying troops deployed there. (Gets?)
I once triggered 4 air bombs at once using a single balloon (the guy somehow put them all next to each other) on the outer layer, so it's generally a good idea to spread them out and put in the inner layers that minions are out of reach upon deployment to avoid decoys. Air mines are a good idea to be put in the inner sessions as well close to the air defenses rather than outside due to their decreased trigger radius, and can wreak havoc on cleaning up dragons at times when they successfully breach to your middle session. (I managed to save my DE storage from being wiped by the lone dragon coming in as clean up as other anti-air defenses are either destroyed/out of range.
Just my 2 cents. :)
This is the best advice. The reasoning behind it is, with mines you want to 1 shot those healers or a balloon on the outer ring as well as kill a dragon or get it really low on hp. Minions tend to bunch up the closer they are to the middle of your base so grouped up red balloon traps closer to the center will hit more minions.
