clan push contest help

Hey All.

My clan is currently doing a push and my leader wants to make a contest out of it the next time around for a iTunes gift card. We've been trying to figure out how to make it a fair contest and I could use someone's help. Our plan now is anyone that wants to compete, drop down to 1500 trophies and go up from there. However, it's obviously not fair for the lower TH's so we decided we need a weighted system, i.e TH10 total cups gained minus %X, TH9 total cups gained minus %Y, etc..

Has anyone set up a contest / formula like this before and could share some insight?

My clan is also pushing, and we face the same problem as yours, there're th7, 8, 9 and 10. Of course everyone dropping down to a starting point would be a given (anyone who wants to join later also needs to drop down to that point).


Now as for the final score, I just add bonus to each townhall (not determine by townhall level, but rather by the amount of troops, max level of troop and the amount of spells aka. spell factory level, also the presence of inferno tower/xbow DURING the whole period of pushing is also considered as well). For example, a newly upgraded Th9 (no xbow or xbow under construction, max troops still 200, 3 spells) is count as a Th8, same deal with newly upgraded th10. By the end of the season, Th7 has a bonus of 300, Th8: 200 etc etc. Those things you need to decide among yourself and choose the most comfortable bonus for everyone, which is bloody difficult lemme tell ya, lol.

Top 10 pushers get entered into a drawing for the card. That should make it a little more fair.

Or do it as an inverted weighted drawing.
Example:
#10 in the clan gets his/her name in drawing once
#9 gets 2 enters
#8-3
...
#1-10 enters

This will reward players to shoot for number one, but will also even out the playing field with a bit of luck invlolved

We used to also do a drawing. For every 50 trophies gained (or whatever amount you'd like) gets your named entered once in the drawing. We set up our drawing this way since we always had a wide range of xp levels and th levels in our clan. So no matter your level if you push hard and gain 200 trophies then you get your entered 4 times.
This system also helps to keep people motivated the whole push. If you do something like the top 10 ppl get entered in the drawing then the bottom half of clan may give up half way thru when they feel theres no way for them to catch up.

we also have set up a similar contest for donations.
